Ok I've moved to Boinc 7.0.58 x64, so far, so good. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Ok I've moved to Boinc 7.0.58 x64, so far, so good. If you are not yet aware. BOINC v7 uses different cache settings. So instead of like 0 and 2, for a 2 day cache, you would want use 2 & 0.01. Starting to warm up here in the northern hemisphere and I am once again only crunching on the GPU's until November. Luckily even through the buildup i'm still able to crunch on both CPu & GPUs. Although the CPU runs in the mid 80s°c & the GPU in the mid 70s° with the fans almost flat out, they keep cool enough to not produce errors. Grant Darwin NT |

Ok I've moved to Boinc 7.0.58 x64, so far, so good. Mine is set for (Maintain)0.15 and (and up to)3 days, not like I'll see that much, but... I'm just having a problem with Boinctasks 1.46, I have to start BoincManager after BoincTasks to get Boinc to run, as starting Boinc from BT by itself doesn't seem to work like under 6.10.58, otherwise I'm not experiencing any problems. I've left a message to Fred on this. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Ok I've moved to Boinc 7.0.58 x64, so far, so good. With those settings BOINC will build up 3.15 days of work and then not ask for more work until the queue gets down to .15 days. As v7 works in a high to low queue mode now unlike v6. Maybe that is what you want. Just wanted to make sure you were aware of the change. As i mentioned in the other thread, if you want to maintain the same amount of work that you had with v6.x, you have to swap the cache values around. Grant Darwin NT |

Ok I've moved to Boinc 7.0.58 x64, so far, so good. No, I'm talking about when one starts Boinc under BT, BT just has a lost connection status, I then have to start Boinc with BM, then close BM while leaving Boinc running. Fred should be able to handle this. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Looks like the shorty storm is abating. Network traffic has dropped off, results-returned-in-the-last-hour has declined, and the ready-to-send buffer is starting to recover. Grant Darwin NT |

Ok I've moved to Boinc 7.0.58 x64, so far, so good. I wasn't talking about Boinctasks at all. Just BOINC & the cache settings. The manager you use has nothing to do with it. Well at least when using the web preferences. SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the [url=http://tinyurl.com/8y46zvu]BP6/VP6 User Group[ |

also try 640+kB/s as a personal download high ... that's right, bytes not bits per second ... at N=2 it is taking about 2-3 sec to download an entire MB WU ... the 640+kB was on an AP WU ... cheers all |

Once again, the splitters are unable to keep up with demand, ready-to-send buffer continues to shrink. Grant Darwin NT |

It's been hovering a bit over 90k for the last hour or two... I seem to have misplaced the link for the server stats graphs that somebody posted a while back....that might confirm the trend. It's a mighty shorty storm, to be sure. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

I'll save that bookmark again. And indeed, RTS has been taking quite a hit. So far the kitties have been able to sniff out enough to keep all rigs full here. Creation rate is low and certainly not keeping up with demand. Maybe my backup projects will get a touch up. Cheers. |
