Have you tried a fastner store where all they sell is screws here where I live we have Valley Fastners is where I go to find my screws.

No, but then all this area has is the Home Depot store over in Barstow CA, they forced all the other hardware stores out of business and it's not a full sized Home Depot either, it's somewhere between 1/3rd and 2/3rds the size of a normal store, plus I don't know what the sizes are really, I've heard 4 are #0 and the others might be 4-40 or something, I have two phillips screwdrivers, a #2 screwdriver and a smaller type, I'd have to buy the heatsink, but I'm not sure when I'll be able to do that, maybe in July or in August, it just depends on what is going on around here, today I'm going to the Doctor in Barstow, that's for some other thread, but then nearly everything is in nearby Barstow, except Me, usually that is...

These are what the pads on the Zotac IE water block should look like when stock, seem kind of thick to Me, I'd got with 1 of My 3 Koolance vid-nx480 blocks that has thin gray pads, any ideas? I plan to use one of the two extra Omni upgrade kits that I have with a GTX 570 that I'll be buying between July and August, this Zotac block is compatible with all reference GTX 480, 570 and 580 cards, just like the vid-nx480 is.

Supposed to be cooler here today, like 109F, I've been searching the web, why not? It's Sunday... Antec has a new 1900 super tower case that can accept 2 psus and they have a bunch of platinum level psus from 850w to 1300w that have an oc link feature, oc link is a 2 pin cable to allow 2 psus to work as one in a pc that needs the amps, now if only the case is water cooling friendly, no specs there yet, but it's a newly displayed case

The HCP 850-1300w psus aren't single rail of course, HCP stands for High Current Pro. and the 'oc link' is only available in Antecs platinum HCP psus so far, the 12v rails are 40A each from what I've read from a pdf from Antec.

Plus for those that want to water cool their video cards without being expensive, one could use an asetek made cpu water cooler on their video card with this NZXT bracket, on youtube the bracket is about $20, this will work with the Corsair H50-110(excluding the H80 and the H100), the Antec Kühler 620, 920 and the 1250(New model), the Thermaltake Water 2.0's(all 3, the Pro and the Extreme, plus their baseline model) and any other cpu water cooler that uses the Asetek made pump... Oh and the case is an NZXT Phantom 530 for about $130.00... The two cards are Nvidia Titans...

Sorry about the image, it's a screen grab.

If you want to keep things cool, use a Skelton.

Unless you're going to be pumping in air that is well below the ambient temperature, better to let the system use ambient temperature air to cool it. Having it in a case, and using the air in the case for cooling, means it will be using air that is much warmer than the ambient temperature.

I don't think that will work with 4 Thermaltake/Astek closed loop radiators, 3-120x120x50mm and 1-120x240x50mm, plus I have cat hair and dust to deal with here, the house leaks like a sieve, soon enough I'll replace a two windows to cut down on that, possibly in February and March of 2014, best that I can do really.

Add an extra bracket in the most appropriate place to mount the radiators.

5 fly screen assemblies for small windows to make up a cover you can just drop over the top.
Plenty of air flow, plenty of visibility & easy to see when the screens start blocking up with the cat fur.

Asap I'm getting an NZXT 630 case, I'd get a 530 but their not out yet and both have filters built in and plenty places for the radiators, I'm still going to try and make the 580 work, I may have to take the card off the block to try thinner thermal padding and put on some AS5 on the gpu instead of whatever's on there now, but before doing that I want to find out what Zotac has to say first, as I'm hoping they'll get back to Me on the ZIE580 in an email.

I don't know about the other coolers, but I had an H50 strapped to an HD 6970 for a while with zip ties, and there's no way it's going to be as low profile as any of those picture links. I have some H70s and an H100i, and they're all a different sized head unit, so maybe the H50 - 110 is a typo? The H50 is at least a 3 slot solution, and probably more like 4, though I only used it on a single card, so I can't say for sure. But the pictures you posted make it look like a 2 slot solution. That it's definitely not. And as a GPU cooler, it kicks some serious butt, but it won't cool anything else, ie. VRMs.
Oh, and the zip ties, probably 20 - 40 cents. Beats a $20 bracket hands down every time....

No the H50 is no short pump, from the H70 on they are very short, I'm using a Corsair H70 now on My cpu, I'll eventually upgrade to a Thermaltake extreme water 2.0.

Thermaltake Pro water 2.0(120x120x50mm)[left], Thermaltake Extreme water 2.0(240x120x50mm)[right], Link to guru3d.com where more info on these two coolers is at.

Now I didn't say that the H50 would take up just two slots, I said It was capable of being mounted on a card and some people have done just that, now as to the vrm's the bracket is for either a 92mm fan or an 80mm fan, now I don't know how many slots the card takes up, but then all I can tell for sure, is the motherboard is an Asrock and NZXT is saying the temps are 30C lower than the stock Titan cooling solution, I've also seen mentioned temps of 53C, which is not too shabby. The link below has a couple more pics and some text.

http://www.guru3d.com/news_story/nzxt_vga_watercooling_solution_at_computex.html

The following is a bracket kit that costs all of $6.00 or so depending on the model(there are at least two brackets and they come with screws and such) by a guy in His spare time as a hobby Here.

One can use the stock cooling with the pump, as this is what PNY did with their 857MHz GTX580 two slot card and a radiator, which I assume nothing about as I have NO direct knowledge beyond the fact that this does work.

GTX 680 installed with the fan model, there is room underneath for heat sinks if you want them.

Here's a picture of the Dwood bracket, minus a fan using the original hardware to cool the ram and the vrms and this looks to be two slots wide. Oh and I don't have any control over the pics, as I didn't take them.

Ok, I was just responding to your post saying "the bracket is about $20, this will work with the Corsair H50-110", and looking at the picutres you linked to.
I know from my experience that you can mount an H50 to a video card for under $1 in zip ties and that the space it will take up in a system is nowhere near what would be indicated by the linked pictures, that's all. The lower profile head units would probably fit as the pictures indicate, just a guess.
Can't comment on specific cards, as all I've done it on is an AMD 6970, but the cooling was fantastic for the GPU, but the rest of the card had to rely on ambient conditions for the VRM cooling, which was OK IMO, but I mounted a bunch of heat sinks to the chips.

No problem guy. From what I've read the zip tie method is inexpensive, but the bracket is better, I know of another bracket that is better than Dwoods, but it costs $13 each and it's shaped roughly like a horseshoe to get around the problem of the screws and washers where the hose meets the pump body, but this is a hobby for both designers, as they both have day jobs doing something else. Oh and there is a problem with zip ties being used, as they tend to stretch over time and you may need to redo your zip ties...

Got two emails back from Zotac support, as I was told this:

Hello Victor,

It does not seem to be a cooling problem. Just to make sure have you taken the block off the card just to check if the block and the chip are firmly touching and the thermal paste is spread? As for the pads, I believe you can use other ones instead of what is provided.

So asap I will do so and apply some Koolance gray pads and some AS5 on the gpu and clean off the gpu, vrms and the ram before putting the block back on the card.

Victor,

Unfortunately there are absolute no screws available. I have no idea what the sizes are. Also, it is correct you do not need washers for the infinity block.

So it appears I'm on My own here, when it comes to an air-cooled block like below, the one below has no screws either.

Vic, Thinking about your screws - Do you have any precision engineers in Bairstow? Or is is just a residential town. If you have you may be fortunate to be able to get screws that are right for the job for very little money.

(Recently I needed a handful of M3x10 screws which would have cost me a good few pounds in the local DIY stores, but an engineering company "sold" me a lifetime's supply for the price of a beer)

Barstow CA is residential and in the middle of the high desert, the only place that would carry screws here is the Home Depot, otherwise it's online or bust. I'll still need to wait until the 1st, since $866.40 only goes so far before it's spent entirely and I have a $300 loan to payoff then that I don't want to renew.

I just found that the GTX680 uses supposedly an M3 x 6mm size, Here, it's an M3x6 Din7985 screws, as this is what attaches to an EVGA factory provided GTX680 backplate, so far this has been the only screw search that has come close. I can't find any that short, but I did find 25 M3 x 10mm Din 7985 screws for $2.96 before shipping, but from what I've read they must be pan head and 6mm long, dang, I found one place, but I'm not interested in 4000 screws, 25 or 50 sure, but not 4000 screws...

I made an inquiry here, Zotac is no help, so someone must know.

I did finally find a possible source of M3 x 6mm length screws in a pan head Din 7985 screws, Here, of course I have to buy 100, but a few extra I won't worry about.

I still won't know if they will really fit, but I'll know when I buy the heatsink and the screws goes in properly, but that's $23.00 for the heatsink/fan and $5.99 for the screws, that is something that I might be able to do, maybe, it all depends on My electric and natural gas bill.

Home Depot is such a piss poor hardware store it is no way they could put any hardware stores out of business here. My fastner store sells all types of fasnters, tools and adheasives no way Lowes or Home Depot could compete with them with all the industrial companies here that have maintenance departments that no Home Depot could supply I guess it payes off to be in a heavily industrialized area like where I live. My car broke down in Charleston WV one day while I was traveling to Ohio and as being the capitol of WV they had no fastner store where I need a special bolt and even the Ford Dealier did not have the part but I had to make do with what they had. I guess coming from a heavy industrialized area does have it advantages. I got the correct part in Dayton Oh which does have a fastner store.

Barstow CA is a city in the desert(pop. 22,975 in 2011), a bit isolated(No other city within 40 miles in any direction), there were before Home Depot came 3 ACE Hardware, 2 went under and 1 closed the doors to the hardware store and concentrated on BCS Mechanical(Heating and Cooling), the Home Depot isn't even a full store, but that's what happened, Barstow used to have a Chevy dealer too, but that's another story for some other thread. I need to get some Koolance Thermal Pads before I work on My card, thankfully I have plenty of Arctic Silver 5 for the gpu, I might need to put thinner thermal pads on the block, it's closed loop and yet it resembles a custom loop as the Zotac Infinity Edition is a full cover block and radiator, I'll have to see how well the contact on the vrms, ram and gpu is, just not now, Oh sure I could take the card off the block that I bought it with and install it on an Omni Upgrade Kit since I have 2 New ones, but I'd rather wait a bit.
