Power Supply maybe? What type do you have?

PSU is Rosewill Model # RP 550-2

Something as good as a Rosewill(2-18A 12v rails), a Silverstone ST1500(4-25A 12v rails), it's a temp psu. Just thought I'd ask.

I looked that 1500 up and it is a bit more than I can afford , over 200 USD , from what I could find.

According to UPS , the new HD from Seagate will be here sometime next Monday ,
22 of April , take a day or so to get it installed and upgraded , so maybe by Wednesday , I can get going again.

It would be some time , before I could upgrade the PSU anyway . Just going to have to hope it is good enough till then .

And it's only silver rated too, now it's been replaced by a ST1200-G and a ST1350 w/an 80mm fan, the 1200 can be had for about $256.00 delivered here in the US. The 1500 was nearer to $400.00 when I'd bought it a while back, it's a pretty good psu, it and the parts that it powers get along great, of course to make a factory overclocked card work on Seti I had to declock it, if I left the card at 815MHz, I found out that My Firefox browser, Thunderbird, notepad and calculator would all crash, yet at 772MHz everything works happily together, sadly even though the psu is certified for running 4 GTX580 cards, this card takes up 2 of the 4 12v rails, but then time marches on.

A very large part of the Number Crunching forum heritage.
I have been at this a long time, learned a lot myself, but have been helped sort through some things by others here that had me lost.
Some were simple 'face palm' incidents that I should have been able to see by myself...LOL. But, another set of eyes, as the saying goes.

Other things were much more technical in nature, and only the few 'gurus' or 'experts' on a certain subject were able to share the guidance to lead me out of the fix I was in at the time.

I also give thanks to those who care enough to share what they know, and return the favor whenever I have an inkling what may be going on.

Paying it forward whenever I can.

Meow.

Ok , Got the New HD in and it is the same model number that the old drive is , made it a bit hard to figure out how to clone it . I have never cloned a drive before and It has taken me a while to figure out what to do.
I think I have it working ok now , booted twice and had no problem with it booting . will work with it a couple days just to be safe , before I send the OLD drive back in to Seagate , just to be sure I got everything cloned ok.
I will probably wait till Wednesday to start crunching again also.
