I am sorry to have to be the one to break this to you, but green peppermint is an abomination. Peppermint flavored offerings ("flavoured" for those of you who stubbornly insist on being British) should always be artificially dyed a bright and brilliant shade of pink!

Behold!!! Pink peppermint pie, as god and nature intended!

Looks better, but I still don't want it. Maybe I'll give mine to you to spare Julie the calories.

And here I thought green was spearmint ...
Pink, green, whatever, as long as it tastes good.
You guys don't want any, I'll have a slice or three....

Something wrong with my computerscreen at work. The donation stars look yellow now and that pie looks kinda grey...I'll have a slice anyway...

Now listen here my good woman, we British not only know how to spell properly - sometimes, we also know that from time immemorial, that peppermint is green.

Sounds like you broke the blue pin on your VGA cable.

Enjoy your pie.

I wouldn't want it either, as it looks more like some pink plaster of Paris project I'd done in the 2nd or 3rd grade where I'd left a hand print, if I knew where it was exactly still(Its packed away in a box some where I think), I'd take a photo of it, sorry Angela, but that pie reminds Me of it...

I must disagree. It looks delicious. If it was some sort of fruit flavor (other than pomegranate), I'd eat half of it at one time.

I can fully understand why you personally find it disgusting though.

It is well known that confusion of the senses will cause the food to be rejected by a lot of people.

In short, as the peppermint taste and smell do not match the colour, be ready with the sick bags.

Please do not refer to my husband as a sap.

Now I do believe that The French know a thing or two about food. Gentlemen, I am sorry, but one simply cannot argue with the macaroons...

Pistachio = green

Peppermint = pink

Mentha × piperita 'Crispa'. Leaves wrinkled.
Mentha × piperita 'Lime Mint'. Foliage lime-scented.

The french only know about food because they either had to disguise it with food colourings or cover it in sauces because it actually was bad.

Or because they had stolen the recipe from someone else and hurried changed it slightly and then claimed it as their own.

Taking your own example of macaroons, we all know they are just a cheap rip off of Amaretti di Saronno. And if have a look at the map you will find Saronno, is a comune of Lombardy, Italy.

Note the colour, exactly the same as the almonds they are made of.

A pink peppermint pig.
Now I ask you, what could be more natural?

Pigs are natually white, brown or black never pink.

Peppermint as Chris has shown is green.

No idea where you get the idea that pink should be in that combination.

No a white russian is a coffee flavoured (and coloured) drink with cream mixed in.

N.B. Without the cream it is a Black Russian.
