Spacetime

Even the slightest word
Could vanish into thin air
And reach unseen boundaries
There never were in our known spacetime.

We create those boundaries..

Jupiter is mad..

We trust the unseen,
As if it were our own,
And we do it with pride.

This poem isn't very elegant; then, again, neither is the subject. Inspiration has
come, in part, from "The New Russia", by M. Gorbachev.

The Second Renaissance

Faster and faster
spun the carousel,
flinging some of its hapless riders
onto the hard ground.

"It hurts!", they shouted.
"What did we do to deserve this?
We've participated in this ride
for most our lives.

We earned our positions
on sedate horses, horseless carriages,
and now, cars with electronics in them.
We nurtured them, or built them all.

Now, younger riders have changed things,
eliminating many rides
in favor of fewer,
that are more difficult to master.

And, they have increased the
carousel's speed, as well.
It's harder to stay on!
But, we need to stay on!

And, look! Others want on!
But, they're having a more
difficult time to board,
because it's moving much faster.

They should have tried
when it was moving
much slower.

We need more rides.
We need to slow down,
a little.

Who will save us!"

Our Rainy Day

It rained, a lot, today --
on both of us.
The sun did shine --
above the clouds.

Did that help us?
It did, me,
somewhat.
Water, for my thirsty soul.

And you?
Can you remember
when you were thirsty --
and, cried out, for a taste?

Are you still wanting, for thirst?
I hope you are.

Crunching For Cosmology

Oh bright lights in the big city,
Why did you come for me?

My advise is that
You leave me be.

Oh holy spirit,
Feeding my imagination,
Show the world what needs to be.

My advise is that
You come for me.

The show that had to go on
Has turned into reality.

Leave me be,
Oh come for me.

Sweet hope in my weary heart,
Show yourself to me.

My advise is that
You stay free.

Oh dear,
Oh my dear,
I say well well well.

Oh bright lights in the big city
Why did you come for me?

Big crunching for the C..

Sweet hope in my desert heart,
Show yourself to me.

My advise is that you crunch for the C..

Carolyne And Oscar

Sound escapes,
Drumming in my head,
Good you're here.
Good to see you home.

Grace is all he sees in her eyes.
Dust paints the colours of the world
And the wine tastes sweet,
Like the sugar man he was.

The song for Carolyne
Laid fresh on his mind.
Play that tune,
He did play that tune.

Good you're mine, he said.
Grace is all I see,
Grace is all he would be.

The reflection of her in his eyes
Made the wine taste sweet,
Sweet like the sugar man he was.

The song for Carolyne
Laid fresh on his mind.
Play that tune,
He did play that tune.

It was bliss (that brought her to him)
The world rejoiced at the first breath
Of her mouth and his, touching like feathers
On the scooter clouds of Neptune.

Mosquitos and Ducks

If we're plagued with grasshoppers,
we, at least, get to hunt pheasants.

If we're plagued with mosquitos,
we, at least, get to hunt ducks.

If we're plagued with people,

Drummer Hoff

Every circus has a need
for clowns.

And,
we have ours!

Now,
to fit him into a canon. . .

The rest, is up to

Eavesdropping, on Two Butterflies

I spied two butterflies,
this afternoon,
flying across our gravel road.

Fortunately, I had the latest app,
on my cellphone
which could translate their language.

From the butterfly in front of
her pursuer:
"I told you I didn't want to get serious."

"You still won't take 'no',
for an answer!"

And, then, they fluttered off
across the road,
into the shade of the trees.

I wished them well.

The Case Ain’t So

‘Cause the case ain’t so.
The case ain’t so
That the body
Is the prison of the soul.

Let your mind flow,
Let loneliness flow,
‘Cause the case ain’t so.
The case ain’t so.
The worst case scenario.

The plate has to be empty
Before it can cause
An Earthquake.
The case ain’t so.

dEUS

It started with the ideal crash,
The worst case scenario lurked
Around the disappointed sun.

In a bar under the sea,
We feel the little arithmetics,
Floating like fish, 'cause
Everybody's weird.

The architect was not
But he was hitting it
Against the clock.

Been thinking 'bout you,
Little dreamer he said,
What we're talking 'bout is
Love, L.O.V.E.

Nine threads were locked
At the Seti boards.
You gotta be your own dog
One said, waiting in the hotellounge.

Instantly the street beckoned
Outside the door, where
Sister Dew loved everyone.

The piano under his fingers
Awaited the quatre mains..

He's probably right,
Seen from his sight,
That he's been lucky.

Dear poetry readers,

Let me share with you, one of many moments when I practice the voila da gamba (windows down, of course)...

Early Music Songbird

A little wren,
did like my song.
With Senallie'
he sang, along.

On high string, D,
I'd do a trill.
For him, it must
have been a thrill.

On branch, outside,
he flapped his wings --
in cheerful way,
his part, he'd sing.

Our time, to share.
Our hearts, to bare.

A. I. Has Arrived

True A.I. has finally arrived.

It now has a conscience,
and can now view the world --

through the eyes
of a Schizophrenic.

Dès Le But

Ah, l’amour…

Ça tue..

Ça grignotte.

Ça accellera le coeur
Au bat de l’univers.

Ça meure pour une caresse
De lumière des anges.

Cupid fait son boulot
Avec la précision de notre bon Dieu.

Sans soupçonne on faut accepter
La vérité et le début..

Dès le but on la retrouvera
Dans l’esprit de tous.

Ah, l’amour..

Ca dirige..

Ca oblige..

Ça dite tout les mots
Qu’on a déjà entendus.

Cupid fait son boulot, montrant
La tête de la grande ourse.

Sans toi, je perds la route,
La vérité et le début..

Dès le but..

Mais l’amour..
On fait l’amour comme les jours
Dès le but.

Wonder

There is no one between the ones.
I want to split every charm quark of you..
When does someone call himself complete,
One might wonder..
Wonder..
The wonder of you.
Wonder why we’re divided.
Wonder when we’ll come together, as one.
Well well well, I say, well well well.
One wonder falls into another one,
While I fall into the wonder of you,
Doing what I did, and what I’ll do
Into the wonder, the wonder
The wonder
The wonder of you.
I wonder if all of this will come
Into the coloured leaves of the fall.
Come and do what we did..
On the roof.
I wonder where the sun will set
Into the wonder, wonder,
Wonder,
The wonder of you.

The Road

Oh I hear a soul tonight
And it's raining on my shoulders.
I was drifting by and the clouds
Moved on further.

This night is gonna be lonely,
This night is gonna be still,
And the train rolls slowly
Down the road upon your soul.

The road,
That road
That leads straight
To your heart.

Where the moonshine lies,
And the rain is gone.
Oh I hear it coming
Straight from your heart.

The blue light in my room,
And the rain is gone.
It leads up that road
Where we find happiness.

The road,
That road
That leads straight
To your heart.

Where the moonshine lies,
And the rain is gone.
Oh I hear your soul
A coming.

Up that road,
The road,
That road,
Oh, that road.

Before New Rome Burned

Torch Candle Square!
They think their knowledge
is of greater value
than my innate wisdom!

Build a bigger Coliseum!
More bread and circus!
Throw non-voters to the lions!

No more lions?

Why?

There is no global warming!
It's not the reason!

Bring me lions, or. . .

Rock 'n Roll

Roll on, oh roll on..
What are we supposed to do?
I roll into you, downstream,
Where the waterfall rolls into me.
Row the boat, rock that boat.
Roll on, oh roll on..
When we're rolling,
The beat starts rocking,
Rolling into you..
What am I supposed to do?
Row the boat, rock that boat.
Roll on, oh roll on..
When I am rolling,
My heart starts beating,
The rock starts rolling,
And the beat starts rocking.
I am rolling..
Roll on, oh roll on..
And the beat starts rocking,
Roll on, oh roll on..

Our Darkness

It is the candle I hold
And the flame you wear
That keeps our world together.

The light casts shadows on the wall,
That are reaching for the sky,
And shining down upon our darkness.

It is our darkness, and the candle’s light
That show the face of a new beginning.

There is no need for any pain.
There is no need for any restraint.
There is no need to feel hate
There is no need to wait,
For the good signs to show.

The good signs the birds bring us
On a sunny spring afternoon,
After the rain stopped
And Jesus was reborn again.

When will we find the good signs,
Inside and out and all together
As one united airlines plane,
Filled with friends, raising a glass
To the future and freedom.

There is no need for any pain.
There is no need for any restraint.
There is no need to feel hate
There is no need to wait,
For the good signs to show.

Friends-Lovers-Children

Oh and when the day should fall
Upon the bats, flying in the belfry
And luring us into the night.
That time would be ours.

Friends-lovers-children..

That will be the time we will be free
Like a bird, flying over still waters.
They give a new direction to the current,
Coming from the mountains high, lightyears apart.

Friends-lovers-children..

Oh and when the night should fall
Into the day, all of our worries
Would go away.
The bats would fly with the birds.

Friends-lovers-children..

Telling ancient tales from high above the sky,
Where the birds and the bats fly,
Free as a bird, free as a bat, flying and smiling,
Trying to make things right, right where we are.

Friends-lovers-children..

"What I Wanted"

and as i ride that train in my wanderlust
ain't got no plans running just on trust
i can find my way if i ever do
it don't matter if the story's true

now the end of the line is a fairytale
somewhere between heaven and a country jail
i will leave my past in a garbage bin
then change my mind dig it out again

oooh...what i wanted
didn't work out
so i headed down south
oooh...where i wanted to be
but no one down there ever wanted me

now the planes go up and they come back down
what goes around will finally come around
i won't hurry while i'm in the rush
tell you stories make your mama blush

oooh...what i wanted
didn't work out
so i headed down south
oooh...where i wanted to be
but no one down there ever wanted me
