Ecclesiastes,
from you, to me.

Ashes to ashes,
and dust, turns to dust.
We labor, aplenty,
for labor, we must

Our talents, we use
as best as we can.
We labor, together,
for our fellow man.

A coffee, from you,
and sonata, from me --
We'll both make sweet music
for posterity.

Our goals, preordained --
with joys, and with pain.

Your poem sounds beautiful, Julie. But, it only tickles my perception,
armed only with its German. es tut mir leid.

Permit a somber note:

Our Last Renaissance

This time, it seems,
we won't survive.
Change comes too fast;
we're bound to die.

Three hundred years,
the first one took.
And, people died,
to read a book.

A pilgrimage
to salve the mind --
then, start a war,
to save mankind.

Our goals, too dear.
It's love, we fear.

The Dragons Stone

It bumped up the ceiling,
Up the hole, where matter in form
Of T-Shirts would disappear,
Floating on to Goa music.

All could hear with sane ears,
Average Joe’s could even hear the fears.

Lawless communication is deferred
By those non-interacting passer-by’s.
Down underground, they know them so well.

No need for bothering the light too much,
As it is owned by our mighty king, the Sun.

All could see, with sane eyes,
Where the light would take them.

What The Morning Brings

Bliss comes through the open window
While the Seraphs greet the Cherubs
With a smile.

The dove nods at the stranger on the balcony
And gives him some courage to guide his instinct

ROU-COU
ROU-COU

The cry of the child in a distance stumbled upon some

HIC-UPS
HIC-UPS

The child twinkled an eye
The Sun started smiling
With some accurate intelligence
Everyone was at peace

The paint on the canvas reflected the thoughts
Of the one, while the shadows played with
The thin line between love and life

Amen! Rejoiced, the vivid colours
Began to smile upon the sunshine

The child twinkled an eye
The Sun started smiling
With some accurate intelligence
Everyone was at peace

Ik Ben Niet Blij

Ik ben niet blij
Het ligt aan de schijn
Dat het blijkt zo te zijn

Wat we reeds waren,
Onveranderd, door de eeuwen heen

Het verleden glimlacht naar de toekomst
Terwijl de kaars het licht breekt
Dat vooreerst schaduw was

De vierde tijger oogde natuurlijk,
Zoals de wet hem had voorgeschreven

Ik ben niet blij
Zoals we niet zijn,
Blijven we voor altijd vrij

Met een lekker glas wijn
Wordt het leven, met veel geluk,
Een festijn

I see January coming 'round the bend,
Whilst someone disturbed the slumber of the Rock
Only the one could enter, and he did,
While the rest got stuck in traffic

Ik ben niet blij
Het ligt aan de schijn
Dat het blijkt zo te zijn

Chords

Chords. Lots of them.
All kinds.
Necessary, you say,
to get off the hill.

Off the hill,
down through the valley,
and,
thence...

Wherever you go,
Julie,
you will have
your chords...
and, your voice,

to get thence.

The best part --

you share them
with us.

When You Play That Sweet Music

When I look at you, I feel at home
When you play that sweet music, I dream

I dream of you and me
And love and life
and everything we can be

When your shy eyes look at me, I melt away
When you play that sweet music, I dream

I melt away in your arms
In my dream
When I look into your eyes

You are the sweetest thing I've ever seen
your voice is like the deepest waterfall

Of purest soul
In my dream
Where everything can be

It never rains where you are
Only the Sun, who gives you his warmest smile,
accompanies us through the day

When you play that sweet music, I dream

I dream of you and me
And love and life
And everything we can be

I want to be with you, with the tiny stuff you make
I want to hold you, and never let you go, as if
It were the last minute in the existence of our Universe

INTERLUDE

When you play that sweet music, I dream
I dream of purest souls,
Intertwined with love and life

You play that tune and I look at your arms,
Where the Moon shows her shadows in mysterious ways

I want to be with you
I want to hold you
In my dream
And love and live
The intertwinement
Of purest souls

Thanx Jim :) It's the first song of my third album. I wrote it for my BF.

Wednesday Week

And one day, I tried to find your face
In the mirror beneath that place

And the writing on the ceiling
Had a message to it

We go walking in the park
With the moonlight shining over our heads

And the woods were caught on fire
While the Sun gave his last bit of information,
transported by those strange neutrinos

And one day, I tried to find your lips,
In that tiny spot beneath your nose

And the book on the table
Turned a page

We go up the stairs
With the moonlight shining over our heads

Love
Light
Life (oh life)
Laughter, and
Loneliness.
Love (oh love)

And the stars caught fire,
Distant Andromeda sent us some radio waves,
Transported by those fast photons

And one day, I tried to find your eyes,
The mirrors to your soul

The road to freedom
Curved at the horizon

INTERLUDE

It is true
It is normal, for it is
The darkness to arise
The light

We're Lost

We're lost.
Society -- everybody --
is automatically
exploding --

Into a collage of
indifferent pieces --
awaiting a ruler

to reassemble it into
a familiar, peaceful,
picture.

Alleen, Mijn Liefste

Where The Nighthawks Fly

The ride was to not look behind
Once the road to destiny was true.

To continue the fear that is us,
The pain drilling side of this life.

How to do it gently?

We have to stroll behind the guardians
Of our path, in full confidence.

No, it is not in our style to be giving up now,
Better smile before the road is is done,
As it can not be denied.

While we think about a million different lives,
We change our direction without realizing
A reasonable reason.

And round we go
And round we go

In sight of our good Lord,
We don't know who we are,
As it is only a space in the void of
Our hearts where Love prevails.

No time to waste your life away
On unpaved roads that lead to
The struggle of climbing the wrong mountains.

How to do it softly?

We have to stroll ahead of our own thoughts
And think of the guardians who gave us
A reason to Love and Live.

It is not in our style to be giving up now.

The place where the nighthawks fly lies ahead,
The place where we do not look behind.

There is only one direction to go

Round and round
And round and round

In the circle of life, all birds hold so dear.

And round they go
And round they go

Fire
Tears of Fire

Our tears, our tears of fire.
We cannot stop their dropping
from our eyes.

Burning, where they land,
we try to fathom
our loved one's loss.

The days left,
will be our infinity
to live,

through our
tears of fire.
