Thanks, for sharing, Mark. You know what love is, as do others in DPC. I wish
I could wave a magic wand over a lady, here, and . . .

Like teaching a blind person about colors.

God blessed me that day............
Torrents of life had washed over both of us before that.
Neither of us had seen the light. She finally did, the only thing that saved her life aside of my own efforts.
Now she is trying to save mine.
Not sure she is going to be able to..........

There is no night out in the jail

De vleeruil fluistert
In mijn oor en hangt
Voor de spiegel
Aan het kruis van Jezus

Het kruis van Jesus

En toen was er rust...

She just hollers what she wants
From where she’s at

And every Sunday evening
Out in her home
He would dwell.

Oh, That Number 7

H8tred is not allowed.
NEIN! Said the Archangel ..

And the Ten Commandments were
Written down by Moses on the hill.

Elevation comes from the Soul!
Twittered the famous Lady in the meanwhile.

And Thresholds were taken over
By our Fourthcoming life.

Fifth Avenue was not far from the Sixth
Sense we feel from one another.

And it brings us
To the Seventh Heaven.

Can you still follow?

Yes, Love will guide us
Through our difficult path
Of oneness.

No restraints of energy flow
Should misguide ones soul
On his road to destiny.

No fear will branch off
The clear electricity we receive
From unpolluted cables of wisdom.

And we forgive..

While we create our own future,
Lead by the instinct
From within our hearts.

Lieve God

Het leven geeft wat het heeft
En wat het had gehad
In de rots van Uw branding,
Waar de vuurtorenwachter

Wacht

Op het startsignaal voor de wereldvrede.

Actie ruimt plaats voor reactie
Bij onoplosbare situaties;

U geeft ons de uiteindelijke oplossing.

We weten waar we horen,
En wat we horen

Innerlijke waarheid is het Hoogste Goed.

We kunnen hardop zeggen wat we denken
En het als waarheid aanvaarden.

Ik zie af
Ik leer af
Ik hoor aan

LUISTER!

Celt/Ian -- A dear young lady-friend hasn't a mean bone in her body. She
doesn't really know love, as yet. But, I wouldn't want her to experience
hate, in order to experience the former. From my experiences, though,
there are no short-cuts to love. We're working on it. . .

The Wall

The psychological wall in her mind --
passing through its passages
would have to be done carefully,
to avoid unacceptable pain.

Her partner knew the land, beyond,
but he seemed not able to completely
comprehend her plea for understanding.
Her quest had to be unshared.

There were no guarantees, for him --
just profound anguish,
and hope.

Who Will Love Me?

"This is how chocolate-chip cookies are made, Elise."

*

"Father, mother is drinking, again."
"I'll lock up the liquor."

"She bought more."

*

"You're of age, and will go to Academy.
It will be better for you, there,
and, it's the way we do it."

*

Would you like me to give you a
debutante ball?"
"No, father, I'd rather not have one."

*

"Please drink coffee, with me?
I just want a platonic relationship,
but need to converse with an older man.
I miss my father."

"I never really had love from
my mother, but my understanding
girlfriends will always love me."

*

"Good-by Elise.
I wish you the best.

You've had a good start,
having gotten confidence
talking with a member of your
father's generation.

Now, I've got to get on with my life --
after sorting through some of
the picture-puzzle pieces
of you,

which you dropped

during our poignant experiences.

I'll never forget you,
nor,
stop loving you."

Friends

I have close friends.
But, I want distant friends, also.

My closest friend,
John,
wants to be closer.

I can't,
because he's too old.
I don't want intimacy
with an older man.

He says, as an older man,
he can -- and, does --
understand me
better than a younger man,
and I should reconsider.

That's an unacceptable argument.

Again, I want distances,
with older coffee-mates.

Another older man, Lawrence,
accepts my need for distances.
His topics for conversation
are perfect:
Sports, and mystery stories.

But, I want distance from him,
as well.

So, I prefer John's presence,
so that Lawrence and I can converse.

However, John will not accept that role,
any more.

So, I think I'll be
returning to a coffee-house life
of doing crossword puzzles,
by myself.

That's my choice,
and I'll not change.

And, neither will he,
and he's going to discontinue seeing me
at our coffee-house.

I'm going to start dating younger men.
Even if they don't understand,
they will provide intimacy;
possibly with distance, as well.

That would be acceptable.

It's all I've ever known.

It's a sonnet written by John Gillespie Magee, Jr. published in 1943 titled "High Flight". It became better known when President Reagan ended a speech about the Challenger Disaster by saying this...

"The crew of the space shuttle Challenger honored us by the manner in which they lived their lives. We will never forget them, nor the last time we saw them, this morning, as they prepared for the journey and waved goodbye and 'slipped the surly bonds of earth' to 'touch the face of God'."

- President Ronald Reagan The Oval Office, January 28, 1986

Here's some information about the author and the origin of the sonnet:

John Gillespie Magee was a pilot with the Royal Canadian Air Force in the Second World War. He came to Britain, flew in a Spitfire squadron, and was killed at the age of nineteen on December 11, 1941 during a training flight from the airfield near Scopwick.

The sonnet was written on the back of a letter to his parents that stated, "I am enclosing a verse I wrote the other day. It started at 30,000 feet, and was finished soon after I landed. " It came to the attention of the Librarian of Congress, Archibald MacLeish, who acclaimed Magee as the first poet of the war.

Copies of `High Flight'--sometimes referred to as "the pilot's creed, " were widely distributed and plaques bearing it were sent to all R.C.A.F. air fields and training stations. The poem was published in 1943 in a volume called More Poems from the Forces. Here it is in its entirety ... taken from the original manuscript in the Library of Congress:

High Flight

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth
of sun-split clouds,--and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless falls of air...
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, nor eer eagle flew--
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high, untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.

A not so delightful change...............

The Kitty.

\
The kitty used to sit from me and stare at me so.......gleefully.
Now kitty stares as dour as dung, as it it's SHE that has been hung.
Not so glee fully.

Cats can play and run and romp until they can't, and want
to do the same for all their lives and then........

Kitty cannot romp and play....
It's by her bed she has to stay.
Poor little kitty runs no more....
Nothing but to sleep or snore.

Kitty runs but once a day...
Then if she has to, she shall stay...............................................

Thought of little Tigger and lost the rhythm.....
Think of my Tigger all the time..............................................
And that's all I have today.

A Reasonable Reason (aka The Pirate song)

It's a shame to live in Zaire these days.

Equality at the Equator in Malines is a fact, son.

We mates are guzzling beer while Johnny fetches us another one..

Harr de harr harr harr

Aye Captain..

Zaire is getting in trouble, 50 knobs to destination...

Sail On To The South!

Aye Captain..

And wintertime, we stay warm at sea.

Aye Captain..

Harr de harr harr harr

Captain, oh Captain, something's wrong at starboard!

Just a whale, showing its tail, that's all son.

Aye Captain..

Harr de harr harr harr

We're still long way from Zaire son..

The whale's tail showed us the right way, Captain.

Aye son, shine you do..

Harr de harr harr harr

(Interlude)

So does the Sun Captain, come to think of it.

Aye son, He's the light of all lights.

Why's that Captain,

He will survive us all..

(Interlude)

There's Zaire Captain!

People are happy?

They are son, they are..

Harr de harr harr harr

Damn........a simple twist of word.
I bound his soul, meant to be.........instead of then a pirate instead of a pilot.

'tiss a tragedy..............as most Gilbert and Sullivan oopserettas (excuse me, operettas_...were meant to be.

Twists of fate///

Take the dingy, please take the dingy./.....or at least the rope, sir.
For, I am a Pirate King, meself....

God bless the men who go to sea.

The Realm of Reality (The Johnny and Joe song)

What is truth, Johnny asks himself.

That you’re all alone with me, says Joe.

Oh Joe, I was only talking to myself but thanx for being here my friend.

Don’t worry Johnny, I’ll always be here.

What if I die Joe?

When you pass the abode of death, you’ll be alone but Suzie will be waiting for ye on the other side.

I’ll miss ye Joe..

Oh but I’ll be coming too. I’d bring your favorite guitar if I could.

I know you would Joe, and I know you can’t.

Thanx Johnny.

Welcome Joe…

Well Joe, while we’re still here, we might as well do something useful.

You only dream of blunts and beer Johnny..

Life’s easier a dream Joe.. You oughtta dream more often.

I can’t Johnny.

You have to Joe, what’ll you do when you die? The only thing you can do then is dream..

(Interlude)

This is supposed to be a song Joe.

It’s a song ‘bout us Johnny. Only mad man can dream reality.

You are a sad man Joe..

I wish I was Happy again Johnny..

You can be yourself Joe, I like ye that way.

I hope I can make you happy one day. Seems those people in Zaire know what it means, maybe we should go there Joe?

As long as it’s with you Johnny.

You’re a sweet man Joe... You carry a heavy burden on your shoulders.

You can always lay your burden on me Johnny.

When there is no more knowledge to gather

Love is the only road to happiness

Mumbled the Buddha

And the Big Wide Open rushed on

By the aid of White Matter

It matters a lot
It matters a lot

(Interlude)

What Michael forgot, is that his friend Mark

Got lost somewhere beneath the pure white snow

All night long
All night long

And when he got back to his lover

She raised his temperature to degrees of Kelvin,

Loved by coincidence..

What you guys say to me, said Michael,

Is the truth of all truths

And so the Sun would rise, up in the East

Where the Rainbow Bridge long gathered its souls

Starting a new day
Starting a new day

On the plane that they know so well

United Airlines gathered as one bird

That flew its wings to the Sun

We care, they stare, Oh Marie

Keep your sweet music with me

Sister Dew will let the icicles transfer

Over and over again
Over and over again
