I recently became aware of Seti@home, and joined the search. Since, I have researched the program and the subject. I have visited the Seti Org website and read thru some of their materials.
My initial thoughts are: Every scientist and layperson involved in Seti@home has the right to their own opinion as to the existence of life{intelligent, or not} outside of earth. Even if we do not find evidence of, or etis, I believe it can only do humans good to explore our skies and space.
Communication between people in countries throughout the world, all working together to explore the final frontier...it's a beautiful thing. It was the brain snap heard round the world! {lol}
I imagine that many organizations, governments, and businesses wish they had the power, devotion, and skill of the Seti@home ops! A tribute to what hope and inspiration can do with a lot of hard work and ability. I can only tell them...
"Build it and they will come!"
