This was the first time I tried SETI with these two same cards in Windows XP, How to get 2 Stock ATI AP tasks run on your 4670 at the same time, Sorta Now, they still have problems with SETI under Windows 8 and BOINC 7.0.52 & 7.0.58. This is the Logicboard, P45T-A (V1.0). I have been using the 4670 since day one, no problems. I just installed the 3650 in the lower slot, reinstalled the Driver (They use the Same Driver), Rebooted, and everything is fine. Except with SETI. I tried using the Config 'Use All Coprocessors' and then 'Ignore GPU 0', neither Option has any effect. I think your first issue might be trying to run an OpenCL app on hardware that does not support it. Despite what GPUz tells you. Sometimes it lies. Like when it tell me the Nvidia GT 8500 I use at work doesn't support CUDA. OpenCL support was introduced in the HD4000 series of cards, but even then only "beta" support. If you want to use the card for other projects you can use <exclude_gpu> to tell BOINC not to use it for the SETI@Home applications. I'm not trying to use the 3650 for SETI. I'm using it to run two monitors. I've been using the 4670 for OpenCL Apps for months. The PCIe slot was not changed on the 4670, it is still right where it was when BOINC used it last. All I did was install the second card in the lower slot, BOINC did all the rest. You did see the log entry for '<ignore_ati_dev>0</ignore_ati_dev> = ignore (don't use) a specific ATI GPU. You can ignore more than one.' CAL: ATI GPU 0 (ignored by config), right? There is a major difference between Ignore & Exclude? What gives you the impression I'm trying to use the 3650 for OpenCL? There is a major difference between Ignore & Exclude? Well it wasn't very clear & this sorta made it seem like you wanted to use both. How do I get BOINC to work with these two cards installed? Ignore is the correct option then. Ignore tells BOINC not to use the card. Exclude tells BOINC it is OK to use the card except for the application(s) specified. Given the "Missing coprocessor for task" messages & only tasks downloaded after "21 Mar 2013, 22:32:44 UTC" were aborted. I would guess that initially BOINC tried to run some tasks on the HD3000 card & not being able to do so was aborting those tasks. It might abort any tasks that it had tried to run on that hardware that are still present. I had to turn off SETI on that machine. Apparently it was downloading APs and then aborting them, and blaming it on me. I really would like to get the 4670 working again as it still has a mostly completed AP it still hasn't aborted...the last time I checked it wasn't aborted. If you look at the last page here, Brook+, you will see others have had problems with BOINC 'seeing' their 2600. I had the 3650 in my Linux machine with BOINC 7.0.28 and it was listed as a BOINC 'usable' card. Apparently, it might work if it's the only card in the machine. Right now, it's not listed on my Computer page. Again, just as it was months ago. I had the 4670 happily working APs and just added the 3650 to the lower slot. BOINC went nuts, last time it tried to run two AP tasks on my 4670. Apparently I can't get BOINC to work with these Two Cards Installed. Just as with Months ago, I had to Remove the 3650 to get BOINC to work again. If I am having this problem with Windows XP & Windows 8, you can bet other people are as well. 1) File this error on BOINC alpha mail list. 2) What app_info do you use on this host? Especially, what app_version? 3) Worth to check with BOINC forum /mail list if BOINC really able to separate CAL from OpenCL and how to designate this separation in app_info. older app_info used CAL plan class to be compatible with older BOINCs. I can't seem to get clinfo to do anything but run for a split second and disappear. That's with the downloaded version. All I have in C:\Program Files\AMD APP\bin\x86 are four files, amdocl.dll, amdocl_as, amdocl_ld, OpenCL.dll. The App_Info is; <app_info>

For posting the output here, I'd suggest: Copy clinfo.exe somewhere else. Open the command prompt there. Run clinfo > sometextfile.txt [I don't think Windows will let you create data files - which that does - in "Program Files (x86)"] [@ Raistmer - does AMD's version of clinfo have any dependencies - DLLs or suchlike - that he would need to copy as well?] ID: 1349438 · |

IIRC, 'Program Files', 'Program Files (x86)', and 'Windows' (and all their subfolders) are the three main protected areas where you are discouraged from creating text files. The root ('\') of any drive is also discouraged. Anywhere else is OK - My Documents, ProgramData, Temp, even the desktop are all possible. I've also had a PM to say that Program Files (x86) can be made to work if you start the Command Prompt "As administrator" - as I was discussing yesterday in another thread. But if you want to trim the text file, or otherwise edit it, before posting, you'd need to run Notepad as administrator too. You can run clinfo in the command prompt, and when the results are displayed just do a right click over them and it will let you to select and copy the text displayed...
