He'll have his first lesson in basic politics....we swing to the left then we
swing back to the right; ad nauseam infinitum, a swing back to the right means
problems for the Europhiles. When the pendulum of politics changes direction then
there is nothing no one can do to stop it, it's course and direction are now set
in stone.

Let's see, you've knocked the following...

France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Ireland and the USA.

However, anyone knock your beloved adopted country and you go ballistic. Wake up man!

The British Empire is dead!.

Long live the king!

....A clear indication to me that Milibrain is loosing the argument. In other
words, "Pick on the so called rich", set aside one part of the community and
ostracise them. This isn't Socialism no this is Communism. Best place for you
Mr Milibrain is a seat in Brussels where you'll be amongst friends.

I seem to recall that is what happened to one other ex Labour leader (and his wife).

....along with their son and daughter in-law too.

EU bans powerful vacuums

Instead they want you to waste most of the day using Slovaks.

With this Euro lot it wont be long before we're reduced back to throwing old
used wet tea leaves down on to our carpets then sweeping them up with a broom.
Vacuum cleaner power onslaught to day, motor car engine size onslaught tomorrow,
back to riding in a horse and cart come next week. I trust our Prime Minister
will instruct Brussels that they can stick this current directive where the sun
does not shine!! He needs to remember, "The Euro elections come up next year
followed by the UK's general election later"...since he needs some vote catching
brownie points then I don't think I need to tell him what action to take in
getting them....OR DO I????

This morning in the board room of all electricity companies management will be
getting together to discuss and work out how much revenue will be lost through
this new directive. 2% lost through lower consumption of electricity so next
years planned 8% tariff increase will now have to rise to 10%. P-off Brussels
for we've had enough of you. How stupid can Europe get, each member country
has a democratic system of Government yet all overseen and controlled by a
Communist regime operating out of Brussels, be warned - be very warned!!

As you have plenty of time on your hands, how about coming out with me for a week? You might just realise just what EU regulations are doing to the transport industry of this country. We are the only nation out of 27 that applies those regs fully.

Or did that foreign driver that wiped out a complete family pass you by?

Or the one who drove for 30 hours continuous? Did that pass you by?

I have more mileage than what you will ever have and I'm old school, I take pride in my profession.

Second, stop showing your vitrol did you not notice the smiley at the end?

Oh yes please, well, we have been rather naughty although we have been split on.
Of course, when our Ambassador gets called in the first thing he will say to his
opposite number, "Well, you are doing the same to us".

No no no no no!
Liberal Democrats are to use next year’s Euro elections to campaign for a United States of Europe.
I say again, no!

One Lib Dem has said that a US of Europe would be a good idea, that does not translate into 'The Lib Dems will campaign for a USE'.

This is why i hate the Daily Mail!
Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge.

I would say it was pretty obvious what he's up to, trying to curry favour with
the knobs in Brussels hoping they might offer him one of those many over-paid
positions inside the 'politburo'.

Simonator is again spot on. It's the Mail looking for a cheap headline once more.

A Liberal Democrat spokesman said: 'Andrew Duff is well known for his outspoken views on this issue. He was speaking in a personal capacity and definitely does not represent official party policy.

As usual a fuss about nothing.

Is that a fact?

Explain this then....

Cable's 'ditch euro" causes fury within the party

Seems to me that there is more than one like Duff within the Lib-Dem perverted party.

I think the above could be seen as an example of splitting hairs really. The Libdem
policy is pro EU and the article by Andrew Duff shows him to be pro-pro
Europe. Although Andres Duff may not represent official party policy, regarding
his views on the EU, this does not go to say that his views do not represent also
the unofficial party policy. For his views may be those that the party would like
to be official but will not make it part of their mandate through fear of loosing
party voters support....I suppose that's politics for you.

I will go on to say though that Andrew Duff's vision of a Unites States of
Europe is not now going to happen, Germany will see to this. They know this
fandangled Euro currency experiment has failed. Once they have secured their loans
back from these ailing Euro countries they will see them forced off the Euro...
... but we shall see.

I would go along with all that in principle, but personally I would like to see a paragraph added that says that if it becomes clear that we cannot bring about change, or negotiate a better deal for the UK, then we will withdraw. What I don't want to see is an open ended timescale and the issue becoming just a talking shop for ever more.

Totally agree....

This is the Official party Line Lib Dem EU Policy

It contradicts this......

Liberal Democrat Federal Constitution

"We believe that sovereignty rests with the people and that authority in a democracy derives from the people. We therefore acknowledge their right to determine the form of government best suited to their needs and commit ourselves to the promotion of a democratic federal framework within which as much power as feasible is exercised by the nations and regions of the United Kingdom. We similarly commit ourselves to the promotion of a flourishing system of democratic local government in which decisions are taken and services delivered at the most local level which is viable."

That statement is totally against the EU as the EU wants a Federal centralised power base

No EU there, so why the Pro Europe stance?

Typical turnabout party, only go for what benefits them rather than the country!
