This has occurred three times now. I leave my computer running constantly - it doesn't sleep or hibernate. Windows 7 on a cable connection.

An Astropulse v6 workunit starts to download... and gets hung there. It stays in a "Downloading" state for 2-3 days, until I get tired of seeing it there and then I abort the task.

In the log I get the following message repeatedly:
2013-03-20 6:03:44 PM | SETI@home | Temporarily failed download of ap_21oc12aa_B4_P0_00303_20130320_30807.wu: transient HTTP error

One thing this error isn't: Transient. It is absolutely consistent.

I have not seen this on any other type of workunit. In the interim, I have disabled the Astropulse V6 application.

This is a network congestion issue. The recommended fix for it is in this message
