I'm already running Seti@home Boinc using the BOINC client version 4.13 If I decide to join another BOINC project like "Predictor@home" or "Einstein@home", must I also download and install their BOINC client, as I already have BOINC 4.13 installed for Seti@home. Thought maybe it was possible to download their software without the BOINC client. Please advise.

Thanking you in advance:

Hi Walter,

Sign up for the project they'll send you an account number.
And URL...

In the Bonic GUI Go to Settings, Attach to project. Enter
the Url and account number. That project will download the
work unit. Do not detach from SETI.

Once you have done that then you must set your resource share
in your account online.....

Do the first part see how it goes...

What you have to do is goto the website of the project you want to run and sign up...they will send you a url. When you have this url click on "Attach to project" under the "settings" button of boinc. copy and paste the url and id in nto the window and BOINC will start to download what you need.

the only projects currently running and being accessible however are seti and climateprediction. lhc is out of work, predictor and einstein do not let people in at the moment.
predictor is said to open in the near future, but their news are not really reliable.
good luck for your new projects, because cross-project crunching makes the real strength of boinc.

Walter,

Complete instructions (and more) are on my site. Here is a general install procedure. Let me know if it does not work for you.
