Recently near Pasadena CA, a 125lb Mountain Lion(like one of these below, a female and Her two cubs) and repeat offender was seen in several backyards and in one backyard the Lion hopped over a 7' tall fence, the Lion had to be shot 3 times with tranquilizer darts, the first two slowed the Kitty down, the 3rd a smaller dose did the trick, the Lion has been caught and relocated according to the TV News.

Yep, I feel the same way Mark, I don't approve of killing a cat, just cause it's near humans, their more scared of US and Dogs, one dog sent a Mountain Lion jumping over a 7' tall fence, if humans could do that, that would be quite the feat.

Those are such sturdy looking kitties.
They look like improved models of my Tigger II.

Bigger, stronger, faster.......bionic Tiggers.

I have always marveled my Tigger's sleekness and strength.

In the SF Bay Area we have pockets of wilderness surrounded by densely populated areas. Some of the larger wild areas still have a few big cats and once a decade or so, a Mountain Lion eats a jogger or a bicyclist. I suppose that to a kitty cat, the fast moving people look like deer. The solution, I believe, is not to exercise. In fact, I am already following my own advice right now by parking my ample behind here in front of this screen. Yep... in this setting I don't look like a deer at all!!! I feel very, very safe.

A Cougar is a dangerous animal.

They can be.....
But, it is WE who are endangering them.
These are very wonderful members of the kitty family.

Here's a couple cougars with a couple of ladies...

Both must have been hand raised and trained, since no one has yet bred these cats for tameness.
