:-)) I might challenge Uli to that one day. She beat me on Limoncello to my embarrassment :-)

Chris I won't touch a Guiness, but you could beat me with the Port stuff. Now to be honest, I didn't have a cig for a few hours and lighting one can make you lightheaded.

Guinless is OK, but Old Peculiar has a better taste, goes down smoothly and has fun after effects with 3 or 4 ...

3 or 4? I'm under the table napping after 3 in 2 hours. Like the good Scotch, that's a sippin' beer.

Oh dear, it sounds as if poor Julie is suffering Port-flash-backs, while bad enough if port is the downwind side, they are nowhere near as bad as if its the upwind side.....

Uli and Chris would be quite safe in a Limoncello race with me - I try to keep off liqueurs if I can, but sometimes I fail...

Liquor is also a wee bit too strong for me...
I mostly keep it with wine and beer or a good Scotch once in a while.

I absolutely loved it, as it was also specially homemade, with homegrown lemons. But oh my gosh, next morning you knew you had had a few glasses the night before.

(and the night before, and the night before!)

A friend used to homebrew from berries and port yeast (to get higher alcohol content).
