I just joined SETI@Home a couple of days ago and don't have a clue what I'm supposed to be doing. What are credits and how/why do I get them? Any help getting me started would be appreciated. I want to be active and participate but don't know how. Thanx in advance...Jack Pierce

Credits are just to compare your rig to others. You get them for units you complete that compare favorably to your "wingman", the other rig which also receives and processes the same unit. You don't need to do anything else, but if you're interested, start reading the threads in "Number Crunching". It's a great place to pick up tips, and get to know other crunchers. Cafe' SETI is also a good place for general friendly conversation. ____________
