I just installed seti monitor. It is asking where the work units are. I looked and looked but could not find any environment or registry values to point me in the right direction. I am running win 8. any help?

Thanks
Jeff hobson

Found the data files, Thanks! the program wants the location of the seti@home path. I have boinc installed at d:\program files\seti_program. there is no seti@home there and the search comes up empty for "seti*.*, s@*.* and set*.*." the good point is that seti is running just fine and having a good time of it. Looking a the data files and trying one of those gives no results other than setimon wanting the seti@home path.

Sorry to be such a pain, the monitor program would be just another way to keep track of my progress, I thought it would be a help. If I cannot get it to run, I can delete it and there is no harm done.

Thanks, again

There are two versions of SETI. The current one that is designed to run under the BOINC platform, and the old Classic that was stand alone. What is the date on SETI Monitor? I believe it may be for the Classic version, and if so, has no chance at all of working with SETI BOINC.

Since this app was published in 2002, I do believe that it was for SETI Classic.

That is the same date I found. However, if there is a much newer one...

There is list of "BOINC add-on software":
http://boinc.berkeley.edu/addons.php

I use BoincTasks, TThrottle, BoincLogX, SETI@home-MapView
