Like many things in Canada, our politics are sometimes a watered down version of what goes on in the UK. Here's two that have run locally where I am, there may be others...

The Natural Law Party, aka the Flying Yoga Party, got an astounding 0.63% of the popular vote in 1993, thats tens of thousands of people who thought magician Doug Henning should be our Prime Minister. Downhill since.

The Rhinoceros Party, reformed a few years ago, don't seem to be as much fun as the 1980s version, which really knew how to, um, Party. Got 0.02% of the vote in 2011 nationally, but as high as 0.6% in fun loving parts of Quebec.

And the usual assortment of right wing crazies like the Christian Reform, mostly Dutch people

and the just plain goofy: Pirate Party, Radical Marijuana Party, the Canadian Extreme Wrestling Party, etc.

We still have a Communist party, they actually had a sitting member of Parliament back in the 50s and 60s.
