I am running BOINC version 7.0.28(x64) on Windows. I have a small SSD for my system drive which is drive C. I want to configure BOINC to use my D which has a lot more available space. How can I do this?

It's done during installation. On the third screen of the BOINC installer, select advanced mode and enter the desired path.

If you have already installed on the C drive, do the following:

Stop BOINC
Find the BOINC data directory. (the location is among the first few messages when BOINC is restarted).
Copy the entire directory tree to the location you would like.
Install BOINC and specify the new location for the data directory. Note that this is done by clicking the "advanced" button when you see it.

That worked.

Before you can re-install BOINC again though you have to uninstall it. I clicked advanced and pointed the installer to the folder where I copied the data files and when BOINC started it resumed from where it left off. Nice job. It only took a couple minutes to do.
