Well, that was fun. The principal came on the P.A. to announce that due to the weather, all after school activities are canceled. A couple minutes later, between classes, the fire alarm went off. Apparently, someone burned a bag of popcorn and sent everyone out into the snow. Ok, gas usage at a new house that I'm watching won't be cheap, oh sure It won't be as expensive as the last owner, their last bill several months back was $143.00 a month, this is cause the house even though largely upgraded still has 2 gas wall heaters that are not as efficient as a modern central heating system, with a 20% Care discount that would be at most $114 or so for Me, of course the PC here would cut that back, I've no idea by how much, if it were enough I could probably turn one wall heater off, to buy a newer furnace would be expensive, like the following: How Much Does a Furnace Cost? wrote: The typical gas furnace cost is $3,000 to $6,000 installed, although higher efficiency models and/or complex installations could push the cost up to $7,500 to $10,000 or more. I'd have to wait 5 or 6 months to save up a down payment and with no credit score, I'm not sure if I could get a heating/air conditioning system financed or not, this is after moving in, not before. I also found out the deposit for SW Gas(natural gas) in this area is $260.00 which is refundable I'm told, plus there is a $30.00 service establishment fee. For SCE(Edison/electricity) the deposit is $110.00(for an apartment only, a House adds $70 or $180 total) and that could be integrated into the bill over 3 months, moving is $450.00 to Barstow or within Yermo. So going anywhere might have to wait as $110+30+260+450+500=1350 for an apartment, for a house add on an extra $70 for SCE and subtract $500 for the pet deposit, the amount jumps from $1,350.00 down to $920.00 or almost 2 months worth of My SSI checks, that is quite a bit and I don't know if this will happen before August 2013, although I know the housing voucher waiting list could open up before then, in any case an apartment is out as its more expensive initially, than the 950 sqft 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom type house below, which is listed for $45,000.00, Oh and I don't know if a housing choice voucher pays the house off or what, I'd have to ask... It's My best bet for getting a house. Movers: Starving Students... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Posting while the Boss snoozes and enjoying what I accomplished, both physically and budget wise, the cleaning staff has been given the month off by the Boss. :) I bet she didn't give the restaurant staff a vacation though. |
