OK, a clue:

This item has very, very, very little to do with coconuts

I managed to find this by accident while looking up Ignotus Peverell from the Harry Potter series.

Ignotus is a concept metal made container designed like a samovar that can boil water and make quality tea for users. It comprises an internal fire tank filled with coal or charcoal to generate the heat without spending a healthy amount on your electricity bill or fuel expenses. The bottom tank resides the samovar nose which prevents scum getting a cup of tea as well as improves the flavoring qualities of tea. The double case of Ignotus allows keeping the water temperature for a longer period of time and protects the user from unwanted burns. This easy to operate, one-button controlled concept tea-maker offers great convenience and eliminates the hassle of using fire woods.

Gary will be pleased to know - I was being pedantic.
It was great fun watching you all bounce around the answer, heading off up diversions. And some of the suggested alternative uses were brilliant, much better than just making tea.

Hmm, now to find something. I don't know of any mysterious kitchen tools offhand, wooden spoon and spatula seem to serve most purposes pretty well.

I'll be back shortly after some research.

That took a while. The University network blocks FTP traffic so i had to SSH to my home computer, which took a while because i'd forgotten the credentials.

Anyway, here we are:

That blade looks suspiciously like one I have for peeling vegetables, but the handles are very different.

I happen to read the Williams Sonoma catalog like a sailor on a very, very long voyage might read a nudie magazine. While I cannot imagine ever needing such a device when my regular all purpose peeler works just fine on tough ends, I do believe we are looking at... an asparagus peeler.
