Message 1363583 - Posted: 2 May 2013, 14:16:53 UTC - in response to Message 1363545.

Obviously has a drainage channel. Approximate size?

Would fit in the palm of my hand - 5 cm / 2 inch approx.

Is that the short way or the long way?

For draining grease off of a burger before serving it?

Ah sorry - that's the perspective - the item is round with a bite taken out.

No, not for draining burgers either (and I do larger burgers ;) ).

edit: the other side looks much the same, apart from being without fancy design.

In the broadest sense, yes.

It's not to drain something, not for a dessert and not to rest something on either.

Hint: I would only consider using it, if I don't have a microwave available.

Too small - not a plate.

Pizza snobs like to preheat a smooth slab of stone (such as granite) in the oven and place the pizza on it to bake. Something to do with the texture of the crust.

I would not consider myself a snob but yes it does have everything to do with texture. There are nine gajillion variants of pizza and this is just one of them. In France pizza comes with an egg in the middle on request. Turns out I liked it but I will not do it at home. LOL!
