Gundolf Jahn has decided to post the answer in the discussion thread. Yes it is a tea bag squeezer. Therefore I am left with no alternative but to award him the win. I am not happy with the way that this has been concluded, and I will reserve my judgement as to whether I participate in future. Lighten up Chris. Gundolf was just pointing out that the same picture had been previously used. When this has happened in the past we have allowed the last winner to find a new picture. Judges? |

I don't really want to judge but I think Chris should just post another picture. I agree along with a beer |

Notwithstanding views to the contrary, I would rather my previous wish had remained extant. However, subsequent to various representations, I will post this. Darn good question.you must stay up all night to find these. :) |

Thanks. It is sitting with tea & coffee cups with price tags so I'm still leaning toward something connected to that. ... |

Some good guesses so far. Part of an old coffee maker [I ask out loud with some trepidation]? David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

Not canning okay, but seems to be for immersing something in boiling water? |

With your permission Ladies and Gents, I'm going to give this one to Julie. She pushed me to post another pic, it is as near as dammit to the real use of it, and she has the food correct. It is in fact an old utensil for hard boiling eggs 6 at a time. That was what I was going to say after Gary's guess, but Julie beat me to it. I am quite fine with that.
