With a bit of luck, this might keep you folks guessing for an hour or so... What is it called? What does it produce? |

I do own the set. Dimensions are about 8 or 9 inches in diameter. You do pour something into the containers. The pieces are heated up by putting them into a heat source. It is a silly little set and truth be told, I have never used it. My mother-in-law picked it up at a tag sale in Wisconsin for the glorious price of one dollar. She gave it to me because she thought I might have fun with it. I do intend to use it some day, but I simply have not gotten around to it yet. Maybe when I retire... |

Jello mold? Not a jello mold, although I suppose it could serve as one if needed. |

I love that this item has gone 24 hours with only one person 85% sure and not yet hazarding a public guess. For a contest that attracts so many accomplished home cooks, I feel like 24 hours is a pretty good run. If nobody guesses correctly tonight, I will give a clue tomorrow. Goodnight friends. ang. |

A mould for doing (as in baking rather than cutting) concentric cakes (its probably got a fancy name) Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

A mould for doing (as in baking rather than cutting) concentric cakes You are correct about the creation of concentric cakes. Its name is not particularly fancy, but if you can describe what the end product looks like, I will give you the win. |

OK, complete stab in the dark, a swiss roll maker. Sorry. That is incorrect. All you need for that is a jelly roll pan, or better yet a half sheet pan. This is a tiny bit more complicated. |

OK, last go, is it a Baumkuchen maker? I had to Google Image Baumkuchen to find out what it was. Wow!!!!!! No, it is not a Baumkuchen maker. It is more simple than that, but you are moving in the right direction. |

Mine went for 8 days. My first two thoughts were ashtray and sterno holder, but I know those are wrong. Egg poacher? [edit] I see that's already been shot down too.
