I'll raise your by ten years - no telly at home since I left London twenty five years ago. Nudge nudge, wink wink. I manage to find all the bits I need about the world, and sometimes they are still too many, on the web. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

I only watch pay TV in that case. That starts at $29.99 here and at $29.99 isn't much better than what's on the UHF Satellite TV translator either. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Lori and myself watched Skyfall last night. I think those across the pond can feel safe today. I think it's been out long enough I don't have to issue a spoiler alert. Sad that they offed M. But, she went out with her boots on, so to speak. Q was a hoot. And don't get me started about Ms. Moneypenny. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

...///... Rather sad too, about that vintage Aston Martin.... Especially with all the vintage Bond mods. Rather amusing, when he threatens to hit the eject button. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

The "vintage Aston Martin" was not all it appeared to be. Great stuff....... "The plot calls on bad things to happen to the 1964 platinum coupe, but seeing as it's worth $4.6 million, producers figured it would be better if something happened to a facsimile of the 1964 platinum coupe." "The models were then sent to Propshop Makers in the UK for finishing work like paint and bullet holes. And then one of them was blown up..." Thanx for the link. I still think the originals with Sean Connery were the best. My nephew doesn't care, He likes all of them, He's a fan, what can I say? The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

I like all of them too. Skyfall was wonderful, in that they paid tribute to much of the past with the traditional opening credits montage.....and Adele was the perfect voice for the soundtrack. And of course, the tribute to the past Bond cars with the poor Aston Martin giving up it's all with it's eject button and the front mounted machine guns. Wonderful continuation of the saga. One must wonder what they could do to top it. We shall await the return of Mr. James Bond. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

I have yet to actually see it, but having read all the plot, I expect to be disappointed. We knew Judi Dench wanted to move on to other roles, and they never could replace Desmond Llewellyn as Q, nor Lois Maxwell as Moneypenny. Connery got the balance right. Moore played it for laughs, Lazenby was a joke, the others took it too seriously. Trust me, Chris. You shall enjoy the latest version of Bond. The usual intro chase is amazing........ I, being an old sot much as yourself, do enjoy the old Bond flicks too. Very much. They set the stage for anything to come after. But, you got to give the younger pups their chance, and I propose they have done very well in carrying on the Bond legend. Please do see it as soon as you are able, and send your report back via Q to me. Some urgency is required in this sensitive matter. Yours truly, Mark (LOL, James Bond.)
