I have tried to set my preferences to a relatively low level to avoid any interference with my usual PC usage. I will, however, leave my PC running all day as i tend to come and go. during the downtime i run BIONC and other idle processes to ensure the energy i use isnt being completely wasted. my current setting are: swith between processes 60min use 100% or processors use at most 10% while processor usage is less than 50% I am wondering what the upper bounds would be. if i change the above settings to something like the stats below, would i see a major spike in my energy bills? swith between processes 60min use 100% or processors use at most 75% while processor usage is less than 50% any other tips would also be welcome. |

You will see some increase in energy bills. It sort of depends on how much cooling the house requires where you are. BOINC WIKI |
