Agree, but then we would probably end up like North Korea/China if they had their way with the net, totally restricted in what we can watch, read or write.....

....& I'd be a dead pidgeon :(

I do suspect though, that if applied, it would be those lot in Brussels who
would try this on first.

No one that I saw has mentioned that N. Korea is the world's number one counterfeiter of other country's paper money, mainly the dollar. Jung is doing everything he can to destabilize the rest of the world and if any country deserves a major intervention N. Korea in my book is the main contender.

I don't think China will let him do that as it will disrupt their economy as well & I'm pretty sure they won't like a conflict erupting that close to their mainland, as unlike 1950-54, the world has moved on & gotten more deadlier.

large artillery pieces dug in to the mountains facing Seoul if they start

Thanks James,

Yes, the threat to Seoul is real and must be respected. But it shouldn’t be exaggerated by hyperbole and misinformation.

It's typical NK sabre rattling, but there is an element of it that should be taken seriously. Which is the stance that most Western observers are taking.

Im wondering what China is doing behind the scenes? They surely must be uncomfortable with the threats that N.K. are spouting.

Edit- your welcome Chris.

Hopefully their planning to overrun the N.K's so doing us all a favour hence
bring the world to it's senses. May even cause Iran to take a step back and
rethink on what it's doing.

Well, it's seems to take a world war to end a depression.

Will they ever know for sure for unfortunately you can't take WWII out of the
end to the depression equation.

I would have canceled the damn exercise. You dont whack a wasps nest with a stick if they are allready riled up.

Seems like a deliberate act by the US and S.Korea to stir them up and see what happens.

Talk about telegraphing your next move. I would hope its just posturing. But who knows about dealing with a madman. Knowing him he would wait until the world thinks its winding down then launch a suprise attack.

I think the UN should just flat out tell him, If you launch an attack at anyone your country will cease to exist.

The truth is, they can't, and they won't. The UN is nothing more than a talking shop, which countries sign up to because it looks good on humanitarian grounds. Think back to Bush and the Iraq war "Nobody tells America what to do". Obviously not even the UN. They have no armed troops that they could use, they are just a blue helmeted peace keeping force, that have the same standing as the International Red Cross.

Perhaps if we had a Western world International army ..... Man from Uncle anyone ?
