I'm not worried about it...nothing I-as one person-can do about it.

Just continue on with life as planned.

Ignorance is bliss, indeed.

No need to throw insults..really.

I truly hope this won't happen. It could be a catastrophic error on NK's side. I am reading everything I get my hands on about this but I'm not going to alter my life over something that you and I--as individuals--really have no control over.

Pentagon: North Korea has capacity to make nuclear warhead for ballistic missile

North Korea has the capacity to make a nuclear warhead small enough to fit on a ballistic missile, according to a new assessment by the Pentagon’s intelligence arm that comes amid growing alarm over Pyongyang’s warmongering.

President Obama called on North Korea on Thursday to end its belligerence after months of escalating rhetoric and actions related to its nuclear program.

Obama also pledged that “the United States will take all necessary steps to protect its people and to meet our obligations under our alliances in the region.” The United States has defense treaties with South Korea and Japan.

But each of us had a lot of control over it. You used your control the last time you went to the ballot box. You used your control when you did or didn't write to your congress people. You used your control when you did or didn't write that letter to the editor. You use your control when you buy stuff advertised on either faux or CNN and increase their ability to editorialize. Yes, you had control, but by now it is all on autopilot.

I'll disagree. Our vote does not specifically state how the administration will respond-it is entirely in the hands of our military leaders.

North Korea has declared the "Cease Fire" ended. This is a declaration of war.
The world is showing great restraint by not making pre-emptive strikes.

If he does release a rain of missiles, it will prove he is either crazy or stupid. I can see no positive outcome for North Korea in it.

Someone needs to make him a nice hot mug of calmthehelldown. Only question is will it be microwaved?

Observers don't believe that he could do that. He has moved two launchers to the East coast, with what is believed to be limited capacity experimental missiles. Once those two are gone, there isn't that much they have left, except smaller conventional stuff which can be dealt with.

I'm probably going to get blasted for this in one way or another but...... I think we've gone as far as we can as individual nations. Its time for nationhood to end. We're all living on this single planet & its time we all worked together to pool resources to move onwards & upwards.

We are already working towards that, which is why we won't see another Falklands type war again. What we are seeing is a coalition of nations against a common enemy, as in Iraq and Libya, and may yet see in Iran and North Korea.

Obama also pledged that “the United States will take all necessary steps to protect its people and to meet our obligations under our alliances in the region.” The United States has defense treaties with South Korea and Japan.

The message is clear to NK, stand down or suffer the consequences. Your choice.

That's all good & well when there are leaders with common sense inside, however when dealing with a megalomaniac, it's the people that suffer on all sides.

I simply wonder if our press is unable to see his face enhancing exit strategy for all his BS.

they can load whatever they want on a missle. They don't have a reentry sheild that will work so anything that is sent up will just burn on reentry. Oh lets not forget that we currently have anti missile missiles that work superbly at knocking any satelite or missile out of the sky.

Meanwhile, North Korea was leveling new threats Friday. According to South Korea's Yonhap News Agency, the regime warned that Tokyo would, in the event of a war, be the first target "if it continues to maintain its hostile posture." North Korea was apparently threatening Japan because it vowed to destroy any missile heading toward the country.

Sabre rattling at Japan.

Separately, South Korean President Park Geun-hye reportedly said she's open to working with the North to resolve the standoff if the regime ends its provocative behaviour.

Jim Mahjong in Pingpong town can't and won't do that. He has an unstable regime that does not have the general support of his people. He also has a "yes sir/no sir" bunch of military puppets that tells him what he wants to hear, not what he needs to know. As a young and untested leader, in a religious worship area of the world, he is desperate to find some sort of standing, both at home and internationally, to underpin his leadership. Hence all this blustering. He is to be pitied really. But I'll save it for his poor people who really need it.

And you can see one?
Just what would that be, Gary?

Never intended to do anything at all and he will proclaim victory when the scheduled war games end.

And the Generals will award themselves medals for the bravery of the sabre rattling
