Hi

I know this sounds a bit dumb but how do I set the proxy settings for the mac client ?

Hi Craig,

Questions are not dumb, only answers!!

First off Seti does use a proxy(see FAQs). Now, if you want to
set up your Mac to use a proxy server, go to the system confirguration
choose network setup, choose your connection, and you will find a tab
"proxies". Klick on this and enter your information. thats all

Thanks for that....but thats already done.. I keep getting cannot contact download server. So I'm guessing it's my proxy. All other apps work fine including icq, netscape etc. I have read the faq and it says something about setting an evironment variable for http proxy. Do I have to set this ? and how do I do it ? Am I barking up the wrong tree here ?
