Since there is no Sci Fi board I figured this is the best place to put this post. I just watched this program on the SyFy channel and was generally impressed. I hope they are planning to create a series from this movie if it was well received. Without revealing the plot it tells the story of the first combat mission of Bill Adama's military career. The actor playing the young Adama reminds me in some ways of Keanu Reeves. As with the Battlestar Galactica series there is some partial nudity and suggested sex. Most of the women are pretty hot babes. There are even some of the actors from the series. I guess they are playing the parents of the characters from BSG. If you were a follower of BSG and didn't watch Blood & Chrome it will probably reair this week and I recommend seeing it. It would be interesting, I liked BSG, except for the ending where they set everyone on the path of repeating what had gone on before. I hear that Angela is a big BSG fan, as am I. I guess you missed that theme is well-known/used throughout myths around the world, and particularly missed Lee (Apollo) Adama's response to the "3" towards the end of the mid-season cliff-hanger in the last season? "But it doesn't have to happen again." ? Don't count on "Blood and Chrome" being made into a series. SyFy was stupid enough to cancel Caprica. Everything I've read since it was indicated B&C would be a web series indicates that's it, no series. Frankly, I'm shocked they aired it on TV. I watched it. It was, at the least, ok, but I was multi-tasking, so that's all I can say. ABC's cancellation of the original BSG was a bad move because, despite 1/3-2/3 of the cheesiness, the remainder was good, with a very very interesting story to tell. Far better than the rammed together junk George Lucas has in Star Wars. The fact that the re-imagined series was done indicates that people realized the gem of the story core that had been, and could be again, told. SyFy's cancellation of Caprica ... with it's good story ... even if there were any missteps ... and their airing of WRESTLING ... ? Why do you think B&C was made/aired? MONEY, and to see if they could pull any of us that left them 2 years ago back. Not gonna happen. That was the only time I've watched that trash network in 2 years. Gimme DVDs or re-runs of The Big Bang Theory or even Ancient Aliens, but don't give me SyFy's crap. |

Loved it. Although the combat at the beginning was intense, taking out a cylon ship with his sidearm was great. It's too bad they went with the BORING Caprica series first. Btw, these are the events between Caprica and Galactica. me@rescam.org |

I sure hope Eric recorded it!!! I'm sorry I missed it. If Eric missed recording B&C, it'll be on DVD(1 Disc) or Blu-ray/DVD(2 Disc).... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

I almost missed it because I so rarely watch the SyFy channel anymore. Between ghost stories and wrestling I gave up trying especially after Eureka left the air. As a kid, I liked the original BSG, but even then I knew it was a bit cheesy. I never got into the new series, but I did record (and actually watch!) the pilot of it a few months ago, so now I feel like I'll understand if I ever do watch the show. I guess in that vein I'd like to see this too. I just checked the Uverse app on my phone and found that B&C is running again today at 4PM CST. I set it to record. (It'll probably knock a couple of Dr. Whos off my DVR.) David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

As a kid, I liked the original BSG, but even then I knew it was a bit cheesy. I'll have wait until the DVD comes out, as My TV signal is via UHF, so no SciFi from there.... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Yeah the classic series had a few bozo episodes that could have been done better, the new series introduced new ideas, like jumping between locations at more than lightspeed, I also like the new ships, but I did not like the destruction of the Pegasus, nor of the fleet at the last stop, what a waste... Honestly, 1/3 to 2/3 of Classic was cheesy. But there was enough, for a late 70s show, of building up the myth. Moore, with 4 years, had more time to do so, and probably followed Larson's ideas, and ideas Larson had for a second season, a bit more (pun) closely than most think. Where Caprica and B&C fit in with respecting Larson's original ideas, I do not know. |

Of course I did not like the Admiral on the Pegasus, Her attitude was wrong, Lloyd Bridges character in the Living legend was better, His men would follow Him anywhere... As to Caprica and B&C I have no idea really, as I've not seen either. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

There really is more to life than Star Wars and it's clones, like Startrek for example, which at least did try to take it seriously. The original Star Wars (aka Episode IV) was intended to evoke the feel of a Saturday serial that ran in addition to the main feature movie when Lucas was a kid. Unfortunately, he kind of got away from that with V and VI, then dropped that format altogether with I-III. The producers and fans of Trek always took it more seriously than the networks and studio execs. The last thing they really did right at that level was make DS9 generally syndicated like TNG. DS9 and Commander Sisko was a pale spin off from the original to milk the market. By Your Command... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

DS9 and Commander Sisko was a pale spin off from the original to milk the market. What is Stargate aimed at? It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues |
