It's just saying that there is an app available that can process Wu's on an AMD/ATI GPU but your preferences are set to not allow Boinc to ask for AMD/ATI work,
For Boinc to ask for AMD/ATI work you're physically have to have an AMD/ATI GPU, If you haven't got one then deselecting that preference is pointless.

BTW you wouldn't happen to have an onboard GPU that hasn't been turned off do you?

Not that I know of... I assumed that when I put the Nvidia card in a couple years ago , that it auto disabled the onboard video.
The evga 460SE has the capabilitys to run 2 monitors...

no your onboard would have to be manually disabled. Otherwise it would still be operational, yet unused.

What motherboard are you using?

For my ASRock ALiveNF6G-DVI
http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=ALiveNF6G-DVI

If I set:
Share Memory [Auto]
Primary Graphics Adapter [PCI Express]

... and I have other video card in PCIe slot (in my case AMD Radeon HD 6570)
the Onboard video (NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430) is disabled.

If I set manually some value (e.g. 64 MB (16-256 MB possible)) for 'Share Memory' both GPUs are enabled.

There is no explicit [Disabled] choice for Onboard video
(probably to avoid no video at all (black screen) if you only have the Onboard video)

As i said earlier, THE ONLY REASON YOU'RE GETTING THAT MESSAGES IS BECAUSE YOU'RE GOT Use ATI GPU SET TO No IN YOUR SETIATHOME PREFERENCES, Set it to Yes and you won't get that message again.

SETI@home preferences

Boinc can only ask for AMD/ATI work if it detects an AMD/ATI GPU, since it doesn't (on any of your hosts) It physically can't ask for AMD/ATI work (Whatever position the Use ATI GPU switch is in)
