The same is true of people within ultra-right wing societies. Dispatching opponents (real or imagined) is a common tactic employed by those who dominate by fear, often in the name of "freedom", which should be read as "freedom for me to kill those I don't agree with, on the grounds that I label them as enemies of the state".

The definition you posted DOES NOT include the use of force/terror to suppress the populace, so you have extended the definition you gave.
You have extended your definition to include any of the totalitarian or populace suppressive regimes, some of which are avowed right wing, some of which are avowed left wing, and others (the majority in my opinion) are just plain nasty and have no specific political leaning.

So, please enlighten us- define "right wing".
We need to hear your definition, and see if holds up as an opposite to "socialism", or as an opposite to "left wing" (which may, or may not be the same thing)

And to you this seems wrong?
I'd love to see the people owning their own resources and the means of production.
Who would better control the economy? The people, through honest and unbought politicians who are accountable directly to those same people, or profiteers working in secrecy in corporate boardrooms where citizens have no input or control in matters of the national economy?

ID, so you believe socialism is more than what your definition states.

It isn't MY DEFINITION. I credited the source. We can call it a start, that is what this thread is for.

ID, since many would like to understand what your words mean, please give us your definition, otherwise you just make no sense.

You have no idea of the differences between political systems.
Equating socialism to fascism has to be the most asinine position I've ever seen someone take in these forums.
You are so confused by rhetoric that you make no sense at all.

Why do the most opinionated people seemingly base those opinions on made up facts?

I've been defining the word since I got here. Please keep up with me.

ID, since I have reread your posts and was unable to find your definition would you cite which message you defined socialism otherwise please give us your definition. Anything less is confusing to those of us who want to understand what you are trying to say, hence gibberish.
