Mark, I think it is GREAT that now there is a single thread for all the many things you want to say about Joan Jett!

Angel-a........ I don't thing it is so great that I cannot sort my threads as I see fit. My mind needs these marking posts. Hence my many threads.

I cannot sort things in the same order as some of you do.

I sometimes have to compartmentalize them....so I kinda remember where and how I posted them......and even then, sometimes I lose track.

Mark, I believe I understand you very well. When one needs help finding things, use of an external organizing system is a very good compensatory strategy.

You will no longer have difficulty finding your posts about Joan Jett, because they will all be in one location now. The page system will help them seem less over-whelming.

I met a very long time ago, but did not collaberate with, one gentleman, by the name of John Prine. He mad it clear to me that although he had a flag decal on his winder, he did not suffer ignorant people much more than I do now.
He still ignores them when he can, I saw one show when he could not suffer them anymore.... he was, let's just say, not his usual self.

It's a duet, so he did this wirh a wonderful gal name of Iris DeMent.

Now things got funnier after that......
A guy named Steve McClain and a beautiful gal by the name of Michaela Terrien did a cut of it too.

I kinda like the alternative version better, myself.

I have done a lotta thinking and drinking over the last few says.

There are a few things I must say before I leave the scene.

First, and foremost, is I love Lori with all that I have in me.
Even though I tried to talk to her minutes ago and she dissed me, this is simple truth that cannot ever be denied.

Second, I did once, for a few days, was Joan Jett's lover.
Get the f over something you cannot disprove, kids.

Third. LBJ had Kennedy killed. There is so much overwhelming evidence to this fact that only an idiot would still say otherwise.

I guess that's all I have left in my bag.

Just hit it and rip it.
You have all seen me go down in flames before.
I have forced the mod's hands and been burned more than a few times.
Not unwarranted.

The point is........once in a while I hit a hole in one.
And that, my friends, is why I believe you let me stick around.

You do these things only once or maybe twice in a lifetime.
And I have hit the cup more often than most.

I have tried to contact JJ's fan club asking if she recalls me.
No response yet.

But, I also tried to contact Suzi Quattro through her fan club and I DID get a response. Via Lynn from the fan club.....

It was in the mid '70s...here in the states. I managed to hide behind some amps at a show and when she was leaving stage, managed a very awkward kiss with her very surprised and amused self.
The security was not so amused....LOL.
I am 56yo now, this was a very long time ago....and even my memories are fading.
So, if she remembers the wide-eyed kid that kissed her backstage, she'll remember it.
If not, no more clues would help.
