Yes, I'm trialling the subscription based Office 365. First month free then a monthly fee. If I'm not happy then I can cancel and revert to my already installed Office 2010 Pro which is running side by side. |

Me for one, considering it only cost me £15.80 ($24.96) for a legitimate copy from Microsoft. |

I second Office 2000. However, I did end up finally (read: reluctantly) give in and go with 2007 because I kept getting docx or xlsx files sent to me. I don't like the ribbons. I like toolbars that have all of the options laid out for you. And if there's not a toolbar.. a real actual menu. Linux laptop: record uptime: 1511d 20h 19m (ended due to the power brick giving-up) |

Office 2000 will do me too and those people who send me the wrong file type soon get told to change it. And as for the "Cloud", anyone stupid enough to use it will just have to live with the consequences, I couldn't/wouldn't trust it full stop. Cheers. |

Office 2000 will do me... But that is over 14 years ago! Time and documents and computers have moved on since then. Especially so for "odf" becoming established as the standard document format. And for odf, LibreOffice is a long way ahead of Microsoft Office. But why are we discussing this here in "Number Crunching" when similar such threads have been pushed over to and relegated to "Politics"? I'm sticking with Office 2000 or sometimes Open Office. Wish OpenOffice and Equation Editor were more friendly. Current version of Equation Editor is closer to LaTeX than before, in looks. |

Office 2000 will do me... How is the topic political (beyond, I like MS or I don't). This is more a Cafe topic. Not fun, but techy. |

thats a bit more than the OpenOffice isn't I'm not a big MS fan, but I do believe that the coders and the rest of the infrastructure needs to be paid or little will be done. |

Libre office is great. I haven't used MS in years now. Started with open office in windows, but hated the Java platform it used. I use libre office now on Linux and I'm very happy. Even got hundreds of extra free fonts to go with it. I have several semi-complicated Spreadsheets I've built using Calc. I cannot think of a reason to use MS at this point. YMMV #resist |

Most people will stay with what they know, and the ever changing face of MS Office cannot be doing it any good, but the free offerings tend to have a more visually stable user interface. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

considering that OO does exactly the same thing as MSO with a slightly different feel and look, it make OO an easy changeover. You even get the option to save as OO file or MSO. Seems the OO allows people to have more options in the end In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |
