Barolo, Brunello di Montalcino, Pinot grigio etc. It seems to me that you haven't tasted them.

I have been Vorloned, one of the two old races. Is there any wine that can compensate?

Nope, it's all been consumed by the Shadows...

William, I will admit that my opinion was just maybe a slight generalisation. A really decent Châteauneuf-du-Pape does take a lot ob beating. But by international opinion, Chilean wines are now highly commended. I like the German whites, they suit me very well. Italian wines are best suited to stripping varnish off doors, Greek wines are good for un-clogging sinks, Spain does not do anything you could call wine, but does passable sherry. Californian wine is pleasant enough, British wine is fortified tap water, Portugal does fantastic port, Australian wine are ones you bring out late at night at dinner parties, hiding the labels, when all the good stuff has gone.

How about Illinois wine?

(I actually don't drink wine at all if I can help it, but I had to stick up for my state.)

I guess You've never watched Babylon 5 or the 13 episodes of Crusade? That was what I was referring to, nothing more. "The Shadows" were bad guys, very bad in fact.

When I think of Cliff Richard, I always have to think of that song he made with the Young Ones (living doll)...Hilarious!

Like it, Chris.

I have a complete collection of all the Shadows releases on vinyl (EPs and LPs) somewhere in the loft. Unfortunately, I now have nothing to play them on if I find them. Technology moves on apace ...

I also have quite a few LP's and a record player. Sounds so much better than CD's or MP 3's...

A music file is an MP3, recorded on to a computer, playable by iTunes...
