Ok. Why is there a kangaroo behind the bar? It did brew excellent coffe though. A person who won't read has no advantage over one who can't read. (Mark Twain) |

Also we have found the Kangaroo to be much better at producing cocktails that require shaking than the Koala are. By the way, did you seen the size of that Kangaroo on door duty last night? Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

You mean the one called Joey who keeps his small change in a pouch? I thought the bar tenders name was Lucy... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Can't you tell the diffference? They are both grey, long legged and have a tail to be proud of. Moreover, when one gets drunk and abusive they pack a kick clear over your head ... It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues |

Last night's guy was enforcing his understanding of the dress code, which really upset the Fijian Rugby Union team. Until I explained that person's of a "sporting nature, or employ" are allowed to wear their national dress after 20:00hrs. He "graciously" let them in after. I did note that said gents made "Quite an impression" on several of the ladies - as indeed they made on the contents of Number Four Cellar (Southern/Pacific Area Ales) which needs a total restock (not even the combined efforts of the All Black, Springboks and Wallabies managed to clear that much in an evening) Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

I assume the Roos have been disciplined? Both have been deported by ICE back to Australia, they overstayed their visa... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

They may have over stayed their Visa, but they didn't fly home on our dime. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

Two 'roo went home. Both using the open half of their return tickets. One was the big lad who decided "being nice" to the Fijian Rugby team was a step too far for his moral code. The other, a young female, declared "she couldn't survive the loneliness of not having her sweetheart by her side". They were both fairly recent arrivals, and we will be looking for replacements. Hopefully more suited to their jobs, in both practical and emotional elements thereof. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Perhaps we should try these? Nah, they'd try to wash everything before they serve it. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

We did have a few on duty for a short time. There were two problems, the first has already been identified - they washed everything before serving, by everything, I do mean everything, even the glass that had just been filled.... The second was, they wouldn't serve anyone unless one of two parties was present, I'm not saying who those parties are, to save their blushes. Trouble is they would try and wash full pint and stein glasses. The waste of beer stats would quickly shoot up ... It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues |
