Message 1338326 - Posted: 15 Feb 2013, 3:30:14 UTC - in response to Message 1338303.

As I'm sure you all knew, Godot is derived from a French slang for "shoe", godillot. Which Samuel Beckett later admitted.

As I'm sure Chris knows, this admission is not possible, because Dr. Sam is currently lost in quantum entanglement. He may have even leaped outside of his own lifetime.

The last I heard, he'd spent four years in the 2150s, with occasional excursions to 1944 and the 2800s.

Or are he and some buddies waiting for Godot in a diner somewhere?

It would be nice if he could look some recent history when he was in the 2150's - say about 120 to 130 years old and report back!

But that might lead to earlier warping when humanity is not yet ready to meet other species!
Could it be Dr. Sam is the Man from La Mancha?

I regret to inform all that, while the rest of you could not view the forum, Godot arrived. I am the only who saw him and conversed with him. He then left in a silvery craft, but promised to return in 2000 minutes.

and with any estimate of time promises, always halve the number, but increase the unit of time to the next higher.

So we cannot expect the illusive one for another 1000 hours.

You got the equation wrong. Triple the number and raise the units by two. 6000 days.

Anybody got a picture of this Godot?
I mean how are we supposed to recognise him?

And how would you tell him apart from an impostor?

I think Godot is into late night relativistic experiments involving rubber bands and coffee.

Coffee at relativistic speeds? Where exactly was that silver thingy headed?

To the one and one place in the universe, as yet unfound, where the constellations spell something really obscene.
The closest, to date, was when the constellations spelled "Sorry ... about ... the ... inconvenience."

God's final message to His creation, in the Quentulous Quasgar Mountains on whatever planet it was:

We apologize for the inconvenience.

If the author received that apology in person, he was very surprised, being an atheist.
