Uhh, not that I don't wish his company, and Eric has given me the grace of response to my emails when necessary, but........
I do wish Eric the best in his 'official' duties as scientist.

Sometimes I, and others, I am sure, forget that he is NOT a sysadmin of the Seti servers, and I have had the shame of treating him like that on occasion.

Sorry, Eric. I do know you have better things to do than to babysit freakkin' computers. Not your wont or your destiny. I have imposed at times, only because I was concerned about your project.

And in your off hours, you have even given me the time of day to converse about la la la la la thingys.

Eric, I luv ya, and your wonderful significant other, Angela.

I always shall.

Very well said Mark.

I wasn't suggesting that he fiddle with the project servers to fix her RAC, but that he fix her computer.

When he has time, of course. His big NASA thing was yesterday, I believe.

I see Angela's RAC is down to 1.99. I also see she hasn't posted in several days. Perhaps the answer to her question in the thread title is 2.

Nope. I am still able to post. I just was at work until very, very late last night and today I was in the south bay all day at a conference.

But maybe you forgot no 1 rule for a husband.

Mike, that is excellent marital advice!!!

Here is a picture I took yesterday of Eric on his way to work in a suit. The last time he had worn a suit to work was about four years ago. And yes, one cannot help but notice that Eric forgot to put on a belt!!! Fortunately he remembered to put one on before he left the house. The NASA review panel members would most certainly have remembered the Berkeley presentation if Eric's pants had fallen off.

Also in this picture you will note that our cat Eva does not seem to recognize Eric in a suit. She needs to smell Eric's hand in order to verify his identity!

Thank you to everyone who has offered solutions to my RAC problem. Two people have offered me remote access to unused computers and one person offered to fix my computer remotely! Wow!!! This sure is a nice community!!! I'm about 90% sure that Eric is planning to fix my computer tomorrow. We'll see...

He looks tired. Hope he didn't kiss the cat
then pet the wife on the way out the door to work.

In British English...

Since neither Angela nor Eric is British, I don't think I have to talk about braces. They might think I talk about something to correct teeth.

But then, aluminium - aluminum, ey? ;-)

Oh dear. Please don't take that personally!!!

The pm system still works when your RAC is nothing, right? If anybody ever needs help getting back in, I would recommend that he or she pm a friend here who might be able to connect you with a cruncher willing to provide some tech support. I got all sorts of kind offers of tech support from people in this community. Crunchers are good people.

Sure you could. There are the Question and Answers forums where you can post without RAC. It's where Angela is going to next... ;-)

Well, I don't see why you need a RAC >1 if you already had points before.

If points and RAC < 1 then "need higher RAC"
If points or RAC >1 "post!"

Wouldn't that be a better condition to check for? :)

Oh my giddy aunt, Eric in a shirt & tie and a suit, AND minus beard!! Definitely one for the archives. Oh, and BTW, one does not wear a belt with suit trousers. They should be self supporting if the waist measurement is correct, and they have a crepe anti slip band on the inside.

Mind you if you go to Saville Row, they will cut your suit assuming you will be wearing gents braces, as that is the only way a quality suit will ever hang properly.

These forums are for the active community. Thus the need for active credit (as in RAC). We've been telling the developers for years about how the text is wrong. It's not a certain amount of credits you require, but you need to be active to post here. And else, you can still post in the Help Desk (Q&A) forums.

That may be true, but one doesn't get the same quality of banter in the Q&A section that one can partake of here.

Let us hope that Eric does manage to find the time to support Angela's RAC, and that soon she will be able to support herself in the manner to which we have all become accustomed (not to mention enjoy).
