Hello Folks,

OK I got a new Notebook computer (Asus G75VW, Intel quad core I7 2.3gh processor with 12 gigs of ram, Nvidea Gforce 660 GPU. Should I use my processor or GPU for seti @home?

Thank you and take care,

Both, as long as your laptop's cooling is up to the task.

The GPU will probably produce more work (not sure on the 660 specs), but running GPU only will have your CPU sitting idle for 95% of the time, when it could be doing extra work.

IMO, use both CPU and GPU.

Probably best to try out all combinations.
If it overheats running both, you may get as good a result by just running one or the other (and maybe longer life time for the hw).

Both are enabled by default. You don't really have to do anything.
