So... Innocently unknowingly use your ISP's transparent proxy/cache (such as most ISPs use) and you may well fall foul of the CFAA... Please explain your interpretation and for how zealous officials could not possibly stretch the ruling to arbitrarily ensnare all of us. Never use a proxy or cache? Not even a transparent proxy or cache?... All in our own little world... Martin See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Another example of overzealous officials?... When a Man Takes on the Feds Now the government wants to ruin the CEO who fought back. To my reading and personal view, looks like high powered officials can be unreasonably vindictive to become persecutors... Is this another Aaron Swartz example in the making? Only in America? Ah, typical nanny state shenanigans, just like mandates to be green. Government knows best. |

Ah, typical nanny state shenanigans, just like mandates to be green. Government knows best. That cynically trivializes what I see as a ridiculous overreach that I can only describe as persecution... Read the details again?... By the same reasoning, all ball-bearings manufacturers should be closed down and all the management hanged until death. Only possible in the USA?! What politicians do during long meetings. What has that got to do with petty officials being empowered by overly vague laws and the ease of abusing their officialdom to persecute people to death? Only in the USA? Martin See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Google is accused of wiretapping: Google FAILS in attempt to nix Gmail data-mining lawsuit Google faces a torrid court battle in the US after a judge ruled that a class action lawsuit brought against the company that challenges its practice of scanning emails for ad-targeting can proceed... ... that Google "has violated state and federal antiwiretapping laws in its operation of Gmail."... Millions of people. Billions of items: By the Laws of America and the 'Justice' meted out to Aaron Swartz, does this now mean a legal massacre and a boom business in electric chairs in the USA? Only in the USA... Martin See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |
