Am I doing something wrong with BOINC? I have not worked with the SETI@Home project in years ... probably 10+. I am used to the old version of it runs as screensaver. That is what I was hoping to get this go-round. The problem is, it will not download anything. I was able to download information using the Milkyway@home project, but not with SETI or orbit. Am I doing something wrong? Or am I simply being impatient?

It's not you. See the top news entry here

New work has been allowed to run out in advance of this shutdown.

My best guess is that after everything comes up again, it'll be a week before things "normalize"

Thanks Gatekeeper. I saw that they were going to be offline the 14th and 15th. I didn't even think about them allowing the new work to run out. Thanks again!

I am having a similar issue as the original poster, however, when I click your link it brings me to the home, where the most recently displayed news update was in regards to sometime in December.

I should note I am 100% new to this whole thing, however, could I get some more specific information as to what to do, what is happening, etc?

Everything looks good on your end. You just got some new work for both CPU and GPU about 20 minutes ago (as of now).

EDIT: some of these units might not have reached you yet. You were assigned 115 units, but it looks like some are "ghost" units; that just means that the Berkeley server and your system couldn't finish the link to send you the work. BOINC will try again, about once every five or so minutes, to get the work to you. All you need do is be patient. "Ghost" re-sends only arrive in groups of 20 max.
