In order to get BOINC's time estimates to match reality I have to keep pushing down the FLOPS value in app_info. For a 6670 GPU the value wants to be about 15 GFLOPS/s for MB6_win_x86_SSE3_OpenCL_ATi_HD5_r390.exe. That's obviously not what the card is really doing.

Credit/wu seems about the same as it's always been.

I realize the WU FLOPS estimate isn't necessarily connected to reality and doesn't have to be, but I wonder why it is so far off. And why it seems to be going down.

Interesting because back of napkin calculated your GPU should be around 75-80 GFlops.

So you are saying that you are seeing the estimate in your tasks tab for ATI units be about right, compared to the actual elapse time? Because that's when you know your GFlop guesstimate is about right.

Currently your longer units are taking 45 minutes to complete. If you're anything like me, my shorties take less time than estimated (-10%) while the "normal" units take a little bit longer (+10%).

I have mine set to 45 in app_info which is why I find your more robust GPU being set to 15 as very low.

You're not doubling up processing on the GPU are you? Your card is which HD 6xxx? The HD 6670?

Edit: cov_route ... you didn't play City of Heroes/Villains by any chance?

Did you check your DCF?

One of these days I'll fix my habit of only skimming posts I respond to.

When we talk about the DCF we're talking about the value on my account page. Right? The one here?

Yes, it is at the bottom of that page, but the rest of us cannot see the DCF and some other stuff.

You can also see the DCF in the manager, by selecting the Projects Tab,
Highlighting the project
and then clicking on Properties, (Last line).

I thought DCF was deprecated?

1.000000

client_state.xml has the tag <dont_use_dcf/>. It looks like the existence of that tag will invoke the default value which is I don't know what.
