Anybody have any idea of what the Chinese are building in the desert? I figure it's either a missile launch complex or maybe an archaeological dig of some sort. It was found by the people at Google Earth.

I would think that China will not tell anyone what they are doing out there, even if it is as simple as archeology they always have this big thing about keeping everything to themselves.

I read a little article about what you're refering to several months ago. The "expert" they interviewed said it resembles a proving ground, or perhaps what will become an area for urban warfare training. Russia is said to have several of these areas in the middle of Siberia as well. Who really knows though. :/
