	... which reminds me of a really gross story. A few years ago I went to the edge of Phoenix to inspect a burnt piece of machinery. It was at a feed lot which was slowly being surrounded by new suburbs. The burnt machine had been dragged around the back, out of sight, near where they piled up the downers (These are cows that have died of natural causes, they can't be sold, so they just pile them up till they have a truck full to take to the dump.) As we drove past the downers, we scared off a pack of dogs that were stuffing themselves on week old dead cow left out in the Arizona sun. I figured them for ferals, but as they ran past I could see they were all healthy, well groomed, and wearing collars. They all ran back towards the nearest suburb. I could just picture them running home, and licking their owners' faces... ____________

	Truly disgusting will be what happens when I clean out my clogged shower drain tonight. I will need a shower after doing that. Yuck. That was about as disgusting as I expected it to be, maybe even a little less. HOWEVER...... When I finished, I took a shower to wash all the disgustingness off, and the damn drain backed up again! Even worse, I apparently moved the clog down the pipe to beyond where the sink drain connects, so now when I run water in the sink it comes up in the shower. I think before I take it apart again, I'll try some super-strength drain cleaner. 	From what I read, autopsies are not done nearly as often, as in previous years. They used to be quite common, not just for those who died of "unnatural" causes. Then, again, we all will end up there, one day. To be buried in the Bourne (Massachusetts) Nat'l Cemetary, on Cape Cod, I'll need to be cremated and put into a 1ft-square metal box -- thus, joining my father (US Army, WWII), mother, and nephew (Marines). Gross, yet, in 5 billion years, it shouldn't really matter, one way, or the other. ____________

	From what I read, autopsies are not done nearly as often, as in previous years. They used to be quite common, not just for those who died of "unnatural" causes. IME they are done only when a doctor won't or can't sign a death certificate other than suspected or obvious homicide. (Doc's can't sign if they haven't seen a patient in the past year, at least in CA) ____________
