Responding to KTHHG's Beets entry: Someone finally told me that this was a boxwood, not an African Acacia... Clearly acacia mistaken identity.

I was just speculating wildly. I figured somebody else would google Rainbow River and nail the exact location. I believe I was declared the winner prematurely and that the next person who posts "Rainbow River, Columbia" on that thread should get the official win.

Okay, I'll pass it onto the post and see what happens...seems a little late though...Oh, well...guess I'll be more demanding next time...Ha!

Sorry. I probably should not have speculated aloud. I will try to keep things in my "thought bubble" next time!

Uh, where's the landscape in the new landscape picture? Don't know. Can't see a picture inside a building being a landscape, unless there is a big picture window ... ____________

LMAO! ...You are looking at an iron retaining rail that keeps drunk guests from falling off of our patio into the window well below. Eric mixes strong drinks and my family members have a tendency to suck down too many of them. Installing that railing was one of the first "home improvements" Eric and I did when we moved into this place.) ...I wanna party with the Korpelas! ____________ -Dave #2

Angelas item is quite correctly a salt cellar, even though it is in the form of an open dish. They stem from the times when at formal dinners and posh restaurants, diners put a small mound of salt, mustard, or horseradish etc on the side of their plate, rather than directly on their food as most people do now. It was the same for marmalade or jam at breakfast, although it made washing up harder.

And in olden times you knew your social position because you were either seated at the high table where there was salt, or classed as below or beneath the salt.
