Its not up to the state concerned but the individual concerned. Some folks (and companies) are OK, provided you ask first, others can be very upset and reach for their lawyers at the first hint.

The best way to avoid such legal unpleasantness is to avoid using pictures that have obvious (C) marks on them - better safe than sorry.

The owner can change the thread title if he or she knows how.

Make a new post. Then after the post is up hit edit. When you get your edit screen you also can edit the thread title. No need for Mod help.

Now you know too.

I think perhaps that:

Probably means we should not be using these images.

Just saying.

After the last time this subject came up, I checked this particular site's terms. I have posted a few of their images in the past, but I no longer feel comfortable doing so. They make it clear that they want you to buy a license.

Not entirely sure of the rules, but I believe we have enough entries?

I'll wait till midnight Pacific to give the colonists one more chance.

IIRC 10 entries or 24 hours - from where I sit you could have called it some time ago already.

No. I tried right-click > open image in a new tab and it came up forbidden.

404 error on 11736.

I can see it fine in Chrome - Safari - Superbird and Pale Moon browers.

PS And Sea Monkey as well. Don't use Firefox or IE so don't know about them.

I can see it now too. When I posted here earlier, it was giving a 404. In Chrome.

in terms of stone it is kerb nor curb, but I'll let it go.

curbstone

"kerbstone" and "kerb stone" are not found. "kerb" says it's British and just refers back to "curb 5".

Since you and Winterknight are both British, you do have a point. But it's just you Brits being British. (Last word spoken with a strong British accent and the R thoroughly rolled.)
