When I'm running Outlook 2013 and a message arrives with an image, my machine stalls for a good 20-30 seconds at 100% CPU on all cores (core i7). If the message is just text, it opens just fine. Only messages with images and only when BOINC is running does my machine stall.

Any ideas?

you may need to snooze your BOINC GPU processes when opening graphically intense files.
