Much quicker than the ADSLMax connection I used to enjoy 20 months ago, when I synchronised at 1.3 Mbps and downloaded at a maximum of 200 Kbps. Contension frequently dropped me to 25 Kbps (dial up). My problem was I was 8 Km (5.5 miles) from the exchange ...

Now, with the geostationary satellite, I am 44,000 miles from my base station in Italy ...
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

Talking to the bt staff my bro found out that the pice of wet string go`s from the town exchange out to village #1,
takes a left turn to village #2,
another left turn to village #3,
then heads across a feild or two, many of the wires are so coroded that they dont work any more so most of the village have to be on splitters in the local junk tion box or there would not be enough to go arround.
what a wonderfull thing the internot could be with decent wire to play with.

Now, with the geostationary satellite, I am 44,000 miles from my base station in Italy ...

got a long ping have you . . .
thats coz ET is using your wireless to download DVDs of `Dr Who` :¬)
