And whomever gets it will have the best one(My opinion), I saw it in the LA Coliseum with 99 other kids and 99 other parents, We were all contest Winners, We all had to write an essay of some sort and send it in with a cereal box top to get a ticket, Got to See Robin and yon Batmobile live with My Dad(Dad might have taken pics too, He was a car nut), Batman was a No show, the actor didn't want to be type cast, too late... That was a mostly empty place that day...

I repeat, Wimps!

They don't even start plowing here until it's 2 inches.

They'll never plow here as there are no snow plows!

Plenty of gritters about on the roads tonight, which is next to useless if snow falls.

Forecast is for 6-8" here tonight/tomorrow, which to be honest, with no snow plows, no winter tyres, no snow chains & very few people with experience of driving on snow, will just about cripple us. (You can guess it's a very infrequent event here!)

I'm thinking a lot of it will thaw as it falls, as it's still rather warm and the snow is only an hour away and things won't be so bad as the Met Office are telling us currently.

If it thaws/melts as it falls and then freezes again on the ground, that's more dangerous to drive on than if it just fell as snow. We do send out salt spreaders if it's more than a flurry.

I suggest you sit back and enjoy the inability to go anywhere.

And thank you for saying "plow." I hate plough. I keep thinking it should be pronounced ploff.

Winning at work now that we've straightened out all the tables and chairs the 3rd shift custodians screwed up. It's a half day for the students and they brought in the vendor with the donut machine.

Plowing? Who plows?

Not us this year, that's for sure. The snow storms keep going by either north or south of us.

Where are you from?

Plows? What plows? If it snows here, We wait and it will melt, only the mountain communities have plows in California. And yeah beware the Black Ice, it's a monster...

Well we got our black ice, 6 inches of snow on top, a slight thaw then a re-freeze! It's hell out there! Snow has caved in the roof of my conservatory (weight of snow) and has brought down one of my phone lines.

Had a minor panic attack earlier as the power went out. All electric here. No gas & no chimney for an open fire.

I do have fuel for the generator so wouldn't freeze, just not ideal losing mains supply.

Ooop north, specifically Oldham. The weather people were saying we'd gets loads of snow, but we've ended up getting zilch.

Of course now I've said that a blizzard will begin in three, two, one... :)
