A muffin or English muffin is a small, round, flat (or thin) type of yeast-leavened bread which is commonly served split horizontally, toasted, and buttered. Muffins are eaten either as a snack alone or as part of a meal.

Muffins

They are not crumpets, toasted teacakes, or cupcakes.

Call Me confused then, although with margarine or butter and jam/preserves or jelly they are just fine no matter what their called.

Now I understand: "In the U.K. the term “crumpet” is sometimes used to refer to an attractive woman"

Well, it's 20F here right now.

But I'm winning because I don't have to go out in it. As soon as I finish reading this forum and put the laundry in the dryer, I think I'll take a nap, which is also winning.

-6c Here this am. My team of biologists all look like they are wearing big down pillows. They have to clear our work areas before the job site is opened to the construction crews. Glad I can supervise from the office.

Skipped the nap. Getting ready to go to bed early, which is winning. Except that the reason for it is to go to work in the morning, which is winning only in the regard that it results in a paycheck.

Not to be a downer, but if anyone considers cleaning the catboxes before going to work in the morning to be winning, I invite them to come and do it for me.
