Andy, lovely pictures! You are making me want to return to Finland.

I'd go again in a heart beat!

When did you go Angela?

Year before last. There is an old thread of pictures someplace...

I shall have to have a forum search later!

Message 1326944 - Posted: 12 Jan 2013, 4:36:20 UTC - in response to Message 1326931.

Winning after a very short and sweet meeting.
Looking at Andy's pictures and thinking about when I'm going to go back to Scotland or Hawaii. Want to go back in the next few years, while I can still remember and enjoy the places I used to spend a lot of time in.......

Hawaii is on my "to do" list - especially interested in visiting active volcanoes and seeing the lava tubes etc. Not really a golden sand and beach person myself - ironic as I live by the sea (although our sand is far from golden, just like the weather!)

Scotland is lovely. I have very fond memories of getting my first ever speeding conviction driving home from Scotland LOL.

You'll want to visit the Big Island of Hawai'i, then. The Hawai'i Volcanos National Park is spectacular!

Spent two years bouncing between Charleston SC and Dunoon/Holy Loch when I was on the missile boat. Visited Glasgow, Edinburgh, Loch Ness, and St. Andrews during refit periods. Didn't get to see all I wanted (who does?), will take more time this trip. May go back to Charleston, too.

I can sleep peacefully now. I posted after Angela. It's almost always the other way around.

Beautiful! I was told it was a very pretty place to visit in the Summer when the snow has gone. They weren't wrong! Love that you met a fellow SETI person there too :D Just goes to show what an amazing community this is really.

Don't you live in the desert Vic? What's your idea of "cold"? out of curiosity...

Morro Bay Forecast
High of 53f low 32f
Not surfing weather. But the waves look great. Maybe it's time for a thicker wet suit?

Definitely not surfing weather here. Snow falling, but not settling as it's a little too warm thankfully.
